I have a NVidia GTS450 with HDMI output. When I connected it I had sound & vision. After the first time that I turned off the desktop computer sound options just told me THAT HDMI is not connected?

I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. It does not seem to recognize the connection although it is really connected and one / v amp is running. I get the desktop on the HD TV but no sound.
