I have a problem with Windows Media Player

WMP gives me an error message whenever I try to play a video. The AVS Video Player it no problem, I'm obviously missing some codecs. Is there a simple way of loadin in Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, all the necessary codecs and WMP functions?

I loaded a decoder from the cdec, but all what is said than what has been used and not how to remedy the situation

Thank you

Make sure that you use the 32-bit version of WMP, even in 64-bit W7.

The reason is that it has more built than his cousin of 64-bit codecs. Go figure!

Otherwise, download and install a 64-bit such as K-Lite codec package.

See you soon,.

I had the same problem and then by chance, I tried a video on YouTube and it worked for me. Here's how I went on this issue and solved my problem:

    1. go to the computer, then OS (C).
    2. you will need to open Program Files (x 86) and Program Files.
    3. go to Windows Media Player in Program Files (x 86) and open the folder.  Then, remove the wmplayer file.  You may need to work around the error TrustedInstaller.  I'll tell you that, in a moment.
    4. in Program Files, go to the same folder for Windows Media Player and select the same file again. Wmplayer.  Copy the file in another window open.  Copy ensures that if the question comes up again you can at least try to fix it again.
This should be the end of your problem.  If you need to circumvent the TrustedInstaller question is how:
    1. right click on wmplayer and select Properties > Security > advanced > owner > Edit > other users and groups.
    2. Enter your username and then click on check names.  Click OK.
    3. close the dialog boxes as he has requested.
    4. open again the properties and click Security.  Select your username from the list and click on edit.  From there, select full control.
This should give you full control over the removal of the original file for WMP and easily allow you to copy the other files (x 86) programs.
Please let me know how it goes for your problem.

    Hello

I have found lately that when playing videos on Windows Media Player divx mode full screen audio is out of sync.  If the video is played in window mode, there is no problem.  I had no such problem in the past, but now for about 1 month or so, I have this problem.

I have fitted iq508a to vista 64-bit, with the latest drivers delivered HP installed (using the HP update utility)-does anyone else have this same problem too?

I can't believe! I solved the problem with this problem of video audio sync during playback in full screen!

While watching the Pineapple Express, I thought WTF I'll take another closer look at this, and while they were smashimg their cell phones so that they could not be found by triangulation, (don't ask - u just I have to watch - stoner movie )...

in any case, I looked under tools options in WMP.  I unchecked the option on the performance tab "use video smoothing"-the video as reloaded and bingo! everything in harmony!

BTW, I checked my another PC running Vista 32 bit and the option ' use video smoothing ' also exists and it is checked if this seems to be a problem with WMP works on Vista 64 bit or running desktop Touchsmart of WMP... In case I am much happier now...

  • Problem with Windows Media Player on your computer.

I tried to load a program called Yawcam which can be used to control a webcam.  Installation of Yawcam has asked if I wanted Windows Media Center to view the Webcam.  I clicked Yes.  Serious mistake.  Windows Media Center has taken over my computer.  I have changed throughout most of my icons on the desktop for a Media Center icon, and clicking on one of them causes Windows Media Player start up, even the icons which are always original.  I can't find any setting in Media Player which will solve the problem.  I can't even start Yawcom.  And unfortunately I did not define a recovery point.  Can someone tell me how to retrieve my Windows Media Center desktop icons and return control of my computer myself?

  • Problems with Windows Media Player 11 Shuffle

I absolutely love the shuffle on media player function until he began to play the same songs over and over again. I have about 16 500 songs in my library, there is no reason why the same 20 songs or more should continue to play again and again!

My question is: are there at - it anyway I can do the shuffle function legitimately randomly so that it continually select random pieces to read rather than play a selection of a few random songs over and over again?

    Hello

You may need to rebuild the database from the Windows Media Player library.
    Here's how:
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    I hope this helps.
