I have a song on a CD, but I want to leave 29 seconds and burn this version on another disk. How to do this please?

I have a song I want played at my wedding but the singer talks at the beginning and I don't want the role. I have the song on a CD, but need to cut out the first 29 seconds. Y at - it a package under Vista that allows me to do this (and then burn new CD version?)

Thank you very much.

Windows Movie Maker can perform this task.
(Yes it works with audio (music)).

Try the following steps.

RIP the CD with. WMA format target.

Windows Vista - rip music from a CD
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/rip-music-from-a-CD

Next Open Movie Maker and choose calendar view...

Import of the. WMA in Movie Maker file (go to...) File / import
Media items... Navigate to and select the. WMA file / Import)

Drag the. WMA file on the audio / music on theTimeline.
(remember that the file is moved all the way to the left of the track
to prevent dead air at the beginning)

Now split the. WMA file to where you want the music
to start playing.

===
(FWIW... If you want the music to start from the beginning
After a 30 second delay... you could drag on the. WMA file for the
right and align the beginning of the file with the mark 30 seconds...
When the file is published (Saved) the delay will be included)
(If the original.) WMA file does not start immediately when it is
played... you will need to compensate for this by choosing
the starting position on the timeline)
===

(Play the.) WMA file on the left by clicking on the 'Play' button under the
display screen. You will see the playback indicator (vertical line)
progress on the script.

Left click the "Pause button" to the place where you want to split
and type... CTRL + L or left click the "Split" button at the bottom of the
display screen.

(Alternatively, you can make adjustments by clicking left/drag the)
Playback indicator)

Windows Vista - work with clips in Windows Movie Maker
(Divide and combine Clips)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/work-with-clips-in-Windows-Movie-Maker

Now... make a left click of the first section of the. WMA file and select Mute.

Finally... Publish (save) your edited music file.

Windows Vista - publish a movie in Windows Movie Maker
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/publish-a-movie-in-Windows-Movie-Maker
(read the article (to publish a movie to your computer)

Now, use Windows Media Player to burn the file changed on a CD.

Windows Media Player 11 for Windows Vista
Burn a CD or DVD in Windows Media Player
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/burn-a-CD-or-DVD-in-Windows-Media-Player
(Expand the section: "Burn audio CD")

Good luck...
