I have a Sony Alpha 5100 camera.  Camera Raw has said it is not supported, but I downloaded the latest version and still no luck.  I have Photoshop CS5.  Any way to deal with this?

My question is what can I do to get a version of Camera Raw that will work with CS5 and allow me to process the raw files from my Sony Alpha 5100.  I get a coherent response that it cannot deal with the camera.

Your device requires at least Camera Raw 8.7. Photoshop CS5 cannot deal with this version. You will need to download and use the free DNG Converter to create DNG copies that you can work with Photoshop CS5.
