  In fact, it is not quite as simple that to 200% zoom, first you must find the ppi (or dpi) of your screen. Say just the retina says nothing of the IPP.

  Then as a 'standard' monitor uses between 95ppi - 100ppi, (one css pixel is 96ppi) you have to work on the zoom factor that could be as much as 4 times more. Don't bother going to a Web site to discover the ppi because they do not take into account the viewing distance, (perceived IPP), download the information on the site of the manufacturer.

  Regarding image sizes, this is a moving target lately, as a 2 x image taken of Photoshops export function, is actually only 1. 5 x required the actual ppi, (export Ps 72 x 2 = 144ppi, w3c standard 96 x 1.5 = 144ppi) so don't just don't not even close, however if your images must be of the same size in each 144ppi of screen size is not a bad compromise when the download time are taken into account. If the images have become smaller in the views of the Tablet and smartphone, then considered 96ppi for only images. The reason for this is that with 96ppi if the image is smaller, then enough pixels are actually present in the image and are "crammed" into a smaller space, increasing the effective ppi,

  in a Word no, the best you can do is build one for phones and one for the office or just put up with a menu designed for something else... are more so-called desktop design that make half a menu phone heart (and untested), but they don't work very well ime.
