  First, I would check with the original vendor that you have received the correct laptop recovery CD. It is possible that you have the CD for another laptop by mistake.

  If the seller cannot help then you can contact Microsoft customer support that can give you a new product key. Note that you need to provide some details of your registry in order to prove that you have a valid copy but they will normally be able to tell you exactly where to look for information.
