I have an Aspire AM5640 - E5500A Q6660 Vista Home Premium that I bought in 2008.

Acer Aspire M5640 AM5640 - E5500A Intel Desktop PC - Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz, 3 GB DDR2, 640GO SATA II, reader Blu-Ray/HD-DVD/DVD-RW, ATI Radeon HD3650, TV Tuner, Gigabit, Vista Home Premium

That's as much detail about what I have that I could find.

My question: is it possible to set up a 64-bit operating system by using the same product key for 32 bit WIndows Vista? Someone told me I could download the 64 bit version and install it. I let one of my data?

The reason why I ask is that I cannot install a 3 to Seagate 3.5 inch HDD internal and integral functions of this player. I get the 1 750 GB and then maybe another 1.3 to using the software of computer management in Control Panel. I can format the full 3 TB using my laptop which is running Windows 7. If I can not install the 64-bit to 32-bit, Windows 7 could solve this problem?

I download Win 7 64 bit and tried to install it on the hard drive 3 TB as a primary drive, but I've only had 760 GB of the disk and computer management couldn't give me the rest. It has been a frustrating month or groping - for most of the errors!

The other problem is that the Windows 7 disk 3 TB lack a coprocessor driver. Can someone tell me where to find one? Update and the Windows 7 disk cannot install a.

Thank you

Lloyd

product key for 32 bit, you cannot install a 64 bit version of Windows Vista. The keys are different.

The original recovery media will retrieve only the Acer operating system supplied with the system.

Probably you are facing a problem with the architecture of the car, probably 4 blocks Ko, which are not recognized by the system.

    After that I installed the free updates to service pack 1, the system goes through 2 of the 3 steps, while it recharges, then the system does not boot?  To get the computer to work again, I need to run the repairer of Windows, which allows you to restore the system to an earlier point?  Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Do your system restore, then:

    Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
  • Need settings for Services for Vista Home Premium, 32-bit SP2, Server 2008
    Several problems.  I know that I have too many services running that shouldn't be and need to put them back where they should be. In other words please. Auto, delayauto, etc manually.
    My pc has little memory left. I can't save anything as it says that I have installed more. That says it's a problem of the file configuration. It wont let me save the files, and I need to backup my pc before making a return to the factory. That I really don't want to do. My program disks were taken.
    I know that my services settings are wrong.
    I can not also disconnect my mass storage, it says a program to use it and I have to wait. D - COM is the only thing that is using it, and this isn't something that I can't stop, no option for.
    I'm so frustrated and now I tells me I need to upgrade to Windows 7. I can't afford it. I am disabled and have an income that is below the poverty line.  So, I need to keep this Vista going as long as possible. I cleaned up the files, etc. defraged. It made no difference on my drive "D". He said I'm a little less! 5% room left for my computer to run. I made the mistake at time of backup from my pc to the drive d. I used the wizard to clean off. He didn't not work and I do not know how to open it. Or what I want. The fix - it Center goes through my pc and tell me what is wrong and when I check what he says of difficulty, they are already there, which suppose to be. I get a lot of false positives.
    Need a miracle.
    Can help you.
    D: drive / Partition is usually your recovery Partition.
    Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.
    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.
    F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.
    You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.
    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.
    Also ask them how to make records.
    Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..
    There are backups on an external hard drive.
    To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.
  • Don't have a Media Center on my HP Vista Home Premium update.
    I have a HP certified authentic running Vista Home Premium SP2.  It came with Media Center, which I barely used until recently, but now I really enjoy it.
    I've heard of the Netflix tile added last year, but I don't see in my Media Center.  I finally got to see what it looks like at a store (it was on a Win7 machine) and now I can't wait to get this working on my computer.  Miss me him more than the Netflix tile... As well, Miss me Internet TV.  Could I have missed that any update?  I activated Windows Update and install updates regularly.  How can I tell what version of Media Center I am running?  Is anyway to uninstall/reinstall Media Center?
    I have a topic "TV + movies", but under that, it's just "recorded tv", "DVD library" and "set up tv.  I don't have a TV tuner card.
    Thank you.
    Hi amal.
    I'm in the USA.  My version of Media Center is 6.0.6002.18103 (vistasp2_gdr.090831 - 0117).
    I downloaded the Media Center TV pack you mentioned, however, when I tried to install it, the installation program said, "the update does not apply to your system."
    I searched the list of Windows updates installed on my system for the TV pack, but do not see it.  The most recent WMC cumulative update on my system was KB974306.  I uninstalled, rebooted, then tried to reinstall the TV pack, but got the same message "does not apply".
    So I re-installed KB974306 (who alerted the automatic update of Windows Me was available after reboot), and read the next article you sent.  Someone suggested to do a 'Download Now' to in WMC.  I tried and then Netflix tile appeared, as well as sports and Internet TV.  My WMC version remained the same even after a reboot.
    Since I now have the Netflix tile and it works, I really must the WMC version 6.1 +?   If I wait until the next auto WMC updated for Vista, I should be able to do things?
    Thank you very much for your help!
  • Vista Home Premium in case of failure BSOD STOP: 0 x 00000050 (0x803F5255, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 87670510)
    Hello, world
    While working on the eve of Christmas on my Acer Aspire laptop (under Windows Vista Home Premium) a Blue Screen Of Death appeared and my system crashed.
    When the computer reboots, asked to choose among safe Modes or start Windows normally. I, perhaps foolishly, chose the latter.
    The first thing I noticed was the absence of the Microsoft logo when the login screen was supposed to be loading. After that, the slider pointer floating around a black, blank screen before an another BSOD appears. I took a picture of this BSOD for reference.
    He said PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with a STOP code: 0 x 00000050 (0x803F5255, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 87670510)
    The system then is crushed and repeated to do this at the same point regardless of my choice to start with one of the Security Modes or normally.
    After searching the forums, I decided to create a recovery disk (my original ones being inaccessible for the moment) a download, placing the ISO image file to CD - R. After the system boots to the CD/DVD drive first, I was able to boot from the recovery disk and access the System Recovery options.
    First of all, Startup Repair could detect no problem. Restore the system told me I had no restore points. Memory sweep found nothing abnormal. Command prompt told me, when I used the command CHKDSK/F/R, thatfile system is NTFS . that he "cannot lock current drive; and "Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume, because it iswrite protected ."
    All the experts, I beg you
    What can I do?
    Thank you very much
    Stuart
    Hello
    ·         You have the encrypted drive?
    You can try these:
    (a) go into the Windows Recovery environment command prompt
    (b) then type 'diskpart' and press on enter.
    (c) volume of Type 'list' and press on enter.
    (d) then 'select volume xxx' (where xxx is the write protected problem drive)
    (e) then type 'clear readonly attributes volume. "
    (f) then the output command.
    (g) then try to run chkdsk.
  • change language in vista Home premium
    HI I have recentley I have a toshiba equium laptop with vista home premium on it, however, it is in Chinese, the bios is English and there is something funny like "enter" in English, but nothing else, I know where the list of languages is in Control Panel etc, but all languages in the drop down menus are in Chinese (kanji I think) and I can't read it... What is English United Kingdom in kanji? someone told any suggestions short of a complete re - load, oh, and I don't have a vista disc as I have always used xp.
    If it's a version of Chinese language of Vista, change the display language to English will change SOME of the Chinese-to-English User Interface, but it is not an English version of Vista. (It is available only in Vista Ultimate.)
  • Vista Home Premium with X 200 order
    Hello world. I have a small question regarding my recent X 200 buy. I ordered my X 200 with Windows Vista Home Premium and 1 GB of RAM. I want to move to 4 GB (2x2gb) RAM me when the unit arrives. I would like to know if the Windows Vista Home Premium that comes with my X 200 will be editing 32 or 64-bit. On the order page, there wasn't an option to choose edition 32 or 64 bit for Vista Home Premium (it was for Vista Business and Ultimate however). If the 32-bit edition of Vista Home Premium is the default option, can I call Lenovo for a 64-bit edition? Thanks in advance for your help.
    You don't have to take into account the fact that many programs that run in the 32-bit environment does not automatically work in the 64-bit environment. The reason why Microsoft continues to sell the 32-bit operating system rather than any move to 64-bit is the fact that a lot of programs and drivers do not work in the 64-bit environment.
    If you are adamant that the 1 GB of ram is giving a performance increase then you can try to borrow them a disc 64 bit someone and install it and then use your own OS serial key to activate it.
    I have 8 GB of ram in my T61 with 64 bit Vista and for most cases the increase in performance is almost imperceptible from the 3 GB ram under Vista Home Premium 32-bit for many programs.
I think even just buy a new printer altogether, as the headache of it does not seem worth when well even I got it since last Christmas.
    the facts:
    I have a printer all-in-one lexmark, model x 5650
    I have an intel pentium D running Vista Home premium 32-bit
    I have automatic updates of windows.
    I can print.
    I have never tried the fax.
    I can't scan.
    I can't copy with the lexmark productivity studio application, but I cannot directly from the printer.
    If I select scan directly from the printer, it just says: "downloading application list" but it never downloads.
    When you use the Lexmark productivity Studio scan option, I get an error that says "scan failed. Try these solutions - make sure that the printer's power on and ready. -Make sure that the front usb port is not connected. -Disconnect and reconnect the usb cable. -Disconnect and reconnect the printer power cable. -Restart your computer. For any additional help, use the Lexmark service center. "but none of that actually works.
    If anyone has the answers to this madness, it would be greatly appreciated, because I can't scan and it makes my heart hurt. Thank you.
    I had the problem of the 'Application download list' with the similar X 4550 wireless printer. If you have downloaded the drivers and firmware from the website (this even if they seem to be the same versions that you already have), this procedure was the only way to get the scanner working again.
    • Enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser and press enter
    • You should now have a Lexmark administration page. Click on Configuration
    • Click scan to network host management
    • Check delete all registered guests
    • Click Remove
    • Power switch and the
    If all goes well, you should find something similar for your printer.
  • error 0x000000c1 with a canon lbp 6300dn printer and Vista Home Premium
    I have a Vista Home Premium that I try to install a canon lbp 6300dn printer on a network.  It gives me the error 0x000000c1. I got the correct driver of canon but continue to get this error? can you help me?
    It is an unrecoverable Windows, usually called error message Stop, bug verification, or more commonly the blue screen of death (BSoD).  Not a Setup error.
    You can try to install over the previous installation.
    If you can get the system for more than a few minutes or you can use safe mode, try to delete the last installed application software or driver.
    For the withdrawal of an application:
    1. click on start, Panel, then programs and features.
    2 Select the software associated with the printer, and select uninstall.
    To uninstall the driver:
    1. go into the Device Manager
    Open the Device Manager
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Device-Manager
    2. find the printer driver, do a right click Uninstall.
    3. also in the Control Panel, printers, right-click on the printer and click on delete.
    Now try to install your printer with the latest drivers available on the Support site of the manufacturer.
