I have an error: this operation requires an interactive window station

I went through several iterations to try to solve this problem, in the hope of a bit of good fortune: iPhone connects only to appear as a device problem in Device Manager, then when you attempt to manually or automatically install the driver software, I get the above error. I've tried everything (than I can reasonably think of). Someone else?
Asus Windows 10 x 64 desktop

iPhone 6 s

All iOS to day and iTunes.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings, bird Moon-arts.

It seems that iTunes for Windows is not recognizing your iPhone 6s and ensuring that the proper drivers are installed has not helped. iTunes is an integral part of keeping your iPhone and your PC sync, and I'll be happy to help you!

Remove and reinstall iTunes and the components of the software for Windows 7 and later versions -given that you used "If iTunes does not recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod", the next thing to do is to remove iTunes from your PC and reinstall again. Don't forget to uninstall the iTunes components ' in the order listed. Once you have reinstalled iTunes again, don't forget to restart your PC as well.

Take care and thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

  • Error message: this operation requires an interactive window station while trying to install drivers for Microsoft Life Chat LX-3000 and Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000

Okay, so I bought recently when a helmet (Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000) and a mouse (Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000) wireless, but my laptop Windows Vista Home Premium is having problems with the installation and execution of the drivers for these two devices.

Original title: driver for headset and a wireless mouse will not install correctly

I already had the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 and had no problems whatsoever doing this job, but I got it for at least a year I guess. I also installed the software that came with the CD (called Microsoft Mouse, even though it says on the CD Intellipoint 7.1) for the mouse and driver online for headphones (called helmet Microsoft) have also downloaded. However, when I plug in the devices, he's trying to find the drivers. Initially, it comes up with a window saying "New hardware found" and has the ability to "locate and install driver software", despite the fact that I already supposed to be installed the drivers through download programs or to use the CD.

In any case, I select the "locate and install driver software" and it says "search Windows Update... «for 30 seconds or so, then said «Installing the driver software...» ».

I then get a message saying "Windows has encountered a problem... etc... This operation requires an interactive window station. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit their website and check the support section for driver software. »

If I disconnect and reconnect the device, I get the same situation with "new hardware found" and the options for search again...

I tried both devices on another computer (Windows XP) and they manage to set up automatically even without the software provided on the CD or on the website and work perfectly well, however I need them working on my laptop ;)

So I guess the main problem is that I get this message "interactive window station" preventing the drivers to install correctly. I have no idea what this means and have spent a lot of time trying to find them online.

Well, I've resorted to re - install Windows Vista and installed very well both automatically when it is plugged.

Now to reinstall all my programs... fun fun fun...

    Thanks for your help anyway!

  • This operation requires an interactive window station

I have a laptop Dell XPS M1530 with Vista Home Premium installed.  I have the Bluetooth of Dell mouse.  For some reason any mouse driver BT no longer seems to work even if she appears to be installed.  I removed the mouse and he readded as a Bluetooth device, but during the process of adding Windows to try to reinstall the driver (which, from everything I can say, is already installed) when you try to reinstall the driver, I finally get the messsage that "this operation requires an interactive window station.  I just installed Vista SP2, and the problem persists.

    Hi wprattutah,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forums.

Do you get this error only when you try to install Bluetooth driver?

The step that I would ask you to do is disable the program security, then try to reinstall the Bluetooth. It's better you uninstall all previous versions first and then try to reinstall again.

You can also try to install in a clean boot state; boot stops interference with other third-party software on the computer.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.)

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

7 log on to your account.

Try to reinstall, if it works put the computer to a normal startup using msconfig.

If the device worked very well until you can perform a system restore, restore to a point that your Bluetooth device worked very well.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    2. In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
    3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    4. Click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Device driver problems"the operation requires an interactive window station

Original title: device driver issues "the operation requires an interactive window station.  replaced the bad hard drive on laptop running Vista with Windows 7 HDD.

I had two toshiba laptops satellite. On one, the hard drive went bad, the other liquid has been spilled, and the keyboard in ruins. The one with the bad hard disk was Windows Vista.  I replaced it with the hard drive of the other computer that uses Windows 7 Home Premium. Initially, it appeared, it would work without a problem, but I device driver problems.  First of all, it is audio and video.  When I updated the driver audio and restarted, Syntec PS / 2 touchpad no longer works. I tried (using the keyboard only) for updating the touchpad driver, but ultimately it fails with the message "the operation requires an interactive window station.  Then I tried to install a USB Microsoft Intellipoint mouse, it seems that the driver will be installed, but I had to use the keyboard to accept the terms and conditions. Then it errors "Setup was unable to install a required component: Microsoft Application Error Reporting." Restart your computer and try running the installer again. If this error occurs again, see the Readme file in help for more information. (Error code 1601).  How can I get my device drivers all working correctly?

Best option is to reinstall the operating system.

  • "Operation requires an interactive window station. What does that mean?

Currently, I'm unable to install USB flash drives. The "new hardware found" Wizard, but always results in windows encounters a problem, saying that it can not install drivers because the "Operation requires an interactive window station.

Can someone tell me what means this somewhat cryptic error? Which means by an interactive window station?

The mistake of station interactive window seems to be a common problem reported in a number of the threads here trying to install a new USB hardware. The standard response is to block all programs from third parties, but this did not solve my problem (or many others). Indeed, the only real solution to this problem seems to be to reinstall windows, which appears as a slightly excessive measure and not what I would consider as a solution.

If I knew what the error means, I might have a better idea how to fix... Either way, I am running windows vista professional, 32-bit

Thanks in advance for any advice

  • This operation requires an interactive kiosk to Windows - error during the installation of a MICROSOFT WIRED KEYBOARD 600

    Hello

I get the error "this operation requires an interactive window station" during the installation driver for a new (working) Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600. I tried to disable my Avast! anti-virus program entirely to restart my system in selective mode with only Windows running programs to install the keyboard. None worked.

The selective mode does not work. And Device Manager shows the device with the yellow triangle icon. With the code 28 error. "This operation requires an interactive window station.

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

Also the comfort curve keyboard 2000 from Microsoft that was previously used with this system can no longer install into any usb port. It only works in the USB port it was previously installed. IM happy that I can still use this keyboard, otherwise I would be even more crazy. Usually, I am not asking these questions, I'm the guy 'tech' at home, and I tried all possible options. This topic made me rage a little, because: Microsoft Keyboard on a Microsoft Windows computer does not work. I mean, what the hell.

Sorry for the typo I made, the CCKeyboard2000 Im using now randomly constantly through... it is why he was replaced.

  • How can I fix the error message Winsock cmd "this operation requires an elevation"?

I'm having serious trouble with my machine does not get on the internet. I have already established that it is not the modem or the access provider.  I did a restore sys in the last 72 hours (a day) and nothing has been fixed. I will note that Sunday night, feeding in which the machine was in was interrupted. I do not restart the machine until Tuesday, when my antivirus AVG picked up a back door Trojan and supposed to be deleted. This would make the 2nd meeting with the same virus in the last 30 days.  After my reboot of the machine, the icons of the internet were not blinking and my antivirus had a yellow triangle with a "!" on this subject. I started investigating and discovered that I can't connect to my ISP, which is Clear4g. I contacted them, and since the machine I'm on now works successfully on their service, we determined that they were not at fault.  ....

I tried to repair the winsock using the instruction given on this site.  However, when I tried to do on CMD, I received the message "this operation requires a rise" and that's all. I don't know what that means, but it can't be good.  I looked in the BIOS (?) and found that almost all of the HKEY ' control Parental LSP on "in front of them. ex: control Parental LSP on [MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP]]
The other entries HKEY seemed they were supposed to, but they were also numbers and letters after him.

I could use a little help with this one. I don't want to format it again because the OS disk I have is rent to own place, I bought the machine from.

    Hi jberry,.

HQ Agent bundles come with JRE 1.4, unless you use a bundle of no. - JRE that your agents run with JRE 1.4 (even if you have installed 1.6). If this is the case, you can set HQ_JAVA_HOME to your home of java 1.6 and restart the agent. Optionally, you can also pass java House in command-line (see format below)

    C:\HQ\agent-3.2.3-EE>HQ-agent.exe h
    HQ - agent.exe-[Dehijnu] (start | status: ping |) Configuration)
D - property = value specify a property to add to the Java process

-j javaHome to specify the Java home directory
service_name - n specify another name for the Windows service.
    by default, "Hyperic HQ Agent".
u - uninstall the Windows service
variable e = value specify an environment variable, to add to the
Java process.  It is used only during the installation
    a Windows service

When it is not installed as a service, the following options are also available.
Start the agent at the beginning
