I have read several messages from the HP Forum and tried a lot of things, including the installation of various updates driver later thanks to the version 10.0.0.222, but I still can't the driver to connect to the Internet.  I also changed my router "n" has only B/G as the AR9285 pilot has a history of problems with Wireless N.  Even back to the original driver version 8.0.0.172 provides an Internet connection.

    Hello:

I'm glad that you were able to restore your internet connection.

I'd go with the latest driver HP vice one from another source.

The only time wherever I go outside HP for wireless network drivers is if you have an Intel wireless card.

My recommendation is to use the free MS Security Essentials antivirus/antispyware, which never interfere with how "things important works" on your PC, such as network connections.

Your router with a hardware firewall and a software firewall Windows. I don't see the importance of adding other firewalls.

  • Airport utility: green points on the AirPort Extreme & Internet; Mini Mac does not connect to the internet.

Airport utility shows green points on the AirPort Extreme and the Internet, but my my Mac mini does not connect to the internet. IPhones and 2 portable Windows connect very well, and see all the devices on the home network. The problem occurred after that PSI has swapped an ancient for a Comtrend CT5072T DSL modem. I tried to stop and things start back up as if the installation of the internet for the first time. No joy.

The airport connects using DHCP in Bridge Mode

    The router address is 192.168.80.1

    Address IPv4 is 192.168.80.2

DNS server is the same as the router, but grayed out

Mac Mini IPv4 Address is 192.168.80.3

    IPv6 automatically configures

Also updated the firmware of the airport; no change.

ISP guy was friendly but puzzled. He started at the top floor level Tech, so I do not know when I hear back.

    Any ideas to fix?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Network preferences may be damaged.

Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click OK, and then move all files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.

Then open AirPort Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilitiies

Make sure that both Internet and Extreme are green.

  • Satellite L735 does not connect to the internet (wired and wireless)

    Hello

I have a brand new L735 satellite, and I'm having a lot of trouble with internet connections.

When I connect to a wireless network it is the profile and connects but still then doesn't say: "no internet access" for two IPv4 qnd IPv6 connectivity status.
I tried troubleshooting, turing off the computer, and wireless network and stil back, but it does not.

The same phenomenon occurs with the workplace wireless, despite other computers that connect to this good (so it does not come from the networks). I also tried to connect to work with an ethernet cable but no luck.

I have the Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network card and the Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI - E Fast ethernet controller.

I don't know what to do as the laptop is new and so it should not need to updates, all parameters are default, etc.. I'd appreciate some help here!

    Hello

Uninstall or disable the TCP/IPv6 and use only TCP/IPv4 protocol.
Also check whether in the properties of TCP/IPv4, IP address and other parameters are defined to assign automatically

I recommend also check the firewall and some security applications that may be preinstalled on your laptop.
It might be possible that antivirus or firewall block the laptop to connect to internet.

  • My laptop Vista with Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g adapter does not connect to the internet using the local area or wireless network connections

I just bought a new router d-link wireless n for my house.  Connect my Win 7 Desktop, laptop xp to Acer and multitude of other devices, but my laptop Vista with Atheros AR5007 adapter does not connect to internet.  I tried to disable IPv6, defining the name of the network, flushing dns cache, etc..  Nothing will work.  (It would not connect to an another 802.11n router in January either.)

I get local only on both connections Wi-wired and wireless, no matter what I do.
I'll send this to my office that I can not connect my laptop to the internet and he does not see the other machines on the network.
Any suggestions from anyone?  I spent hours trying to solve the problems, now completely stumped.

    OK, here was my fix:

I tried a lot of things, but they do not work.  I downloaded a 'new' driver of HP - it turns out it was the original with the problem.  I found another one that was about a more recent months, still does not work.  I finally managed to get the atheros.cz driver for my card files.  But they do not have an installation file.  I had to search for each old file in its directory, copy it to another place (to be sure, just in case) and then copy and replace the old file with the new file in the original folder.  Fortunately, there were only 6 files, but it took about an hour and a half.  This isn't a lot of time compared to the 18 or if I was just trying to figure out the problem.  Now, my laptop connects to the internet without problem.
I had this problem with a router "n" beginning of the year in a hostel.  The guy in the Inn told me that he had seen before once.  It's obviously a common problem with these cards (as seen on the "solutions" online) and Vista.  I'm always hating on Vista after this problem.

  • iMac does not connect to the Internet.

I checked my network connections, and he said: I am connected to wifi and ethernet. However, I can not load safari, chrome, Firefox, iTunes, appstore or my girls playing minecraft. I think it has to do with my wifi or Ethernet, because the same things happen on my iPhone when connected to wifi. But then again, when I disabled my wifi on my computer it still does not work. I became very impatient with this because we can not load a update system or Apple.com! I deleted cookies and the data of the Web site, restarted and shut down completely, replaced by OpenDNS servers and connected through other users of accounts. We've even cleared up little space on our computer. We have planned the download CleanMyMac if that was the problem but we can not even on the site.

  • Pavilion HPE 150 t: I have a desktop Pavilion which does not connect to the internet all of a sudden

Had two problems.  My AVG was locking up my computer with the function of guard dog.  I was able to get past and get uninstalled AVG.  Now, I can't the computer to connect to the internet.  I've updated the ethernet driver, but it still doesn't work.  Said that there is a problem with the driver.  I used a wireless adapter and it shows as connected but also says there is a problem with the driver.  I disabled all the security settings, that I can find.  Firewall AVG, Windows Defender, real key.  I did the sfc scan now and it found nothing.  He won't let me not reset the pc to restore the pc or anything like that.  I tried to update the BIOS, I think I already have, and he said that it is "denied" see administrator.  When I tried to reset the nsch he says he has been "denied".  I don't know what is blocking the connection.  Internet works anywhere in my house with the exception of this one computer.   Suggestions?

So, I thought about it.  None of the support stuff helped but thanks for trying.  I'm always up for the Microsoft Security error at startup.  I noticed that I don't have McAfee installed when windows Defender popped up it asked McAfee, I used to have, and I saw where the real key is a McAfee product.  But I always felt that something is blocking the connection.  I ran AVG removal tool again, and once more he showed the AVG protection there.  I completed the deletion. still nothing.  I went to the properties of the ethernet and there I saw a place for the files AVG filter.  I unchecked it and BAM my internet connection was back up.  If not, was not windows.  This file kept loading with the drivers and I seen this every time but never uninstalled.  Once I killed him felt stupid, frustrated and angry.  I was very disappointed with AVG lately.

Thank you for support for trying to help me, I learned a lot during this mess.

  • Firefox does not connect to the internet on this computer, if it does on another computer and Internet Explorer connects also with no obvious problems.

About 1 year ago, I helped set up Firefox on my mother's computer. It worked fine until a couple of days. Now, he is more connected to the internet. The system is Windows XP, service pack 3. Internet Exporer connects to the Internet on this computer. Also, I have another computer with Firefox and it works without problem, wireless. We tried to remove Firefox and then reload and which did not help. We receive no error message. Internet and Firefox simply do not seem to see each other.

Sounds like a firewall issue, seems to affect
More than the other browsers, Firefox.

  • CQ60-210US reformatted for Windows XP Prof, but it does not connect to the wireless network...

Long story short, I tried recently to "downgrade" my husband computer CQ60-210US laptop from Vista to XP.  I followed the very detailed guide posted here and everything seems to work great but my computer does NOT connect to my home network.  It comes as an available network, but when I try to connect it goes on to say that the network is no longer available - is yet to ask security key.  I tried to click on the connection to a neighbor to see what would happen and it seems to go further (it asks me the security key).  I can connect directly using the ethernet to the modem cable.

This laptop was initially working on my network wirelessly with Vista.  I use a CLEAR 4 G wireless modem.  The signal from the modem is good.

Can anyone help me identify the problem and propose a solution?  Everything else seems to work well.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi, Richard,.

Have you been able to connect to the internet on this computer so far?  Try a system restore

Have you tried to use a different web browser to connect.  Is the same behavior?

Check if your network card appears in Device Manager. If it is there, check yellow exclaimations next device Network adapter Manager. You can also go to the manufacturer's website and check if an update for your network card.

If the network adapter exists and works, try resetting the TCP/IP stack:
