  Try the effect parameters to Turn Off the SRS WOW in Windows Media Player.
   
  Follow the steps below to do the same. Another user seems to have solved a similar problem by disabling SRS WOW effects.
   
  a. Click Start, click all programs and then click Windows Media Player.
  b. in playback mode, right-click an open space in the player

Some programs may have set up your speakers for surround, double check windows audio configurations and your sound card audio for Dolby Surround options and enabled and try to turn them off.
