I have automatic updates set to download and allow me to install. has stopped working 4 or 5 months ago. Now auto installs updates when I turn off windows. Impossible to control as I used to.

  Have you tried to start Firefox in Mode safe? Key 'shift' startup of Firefox. If it doesn't happen in Mode without failure, you should read the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems.

  I checked the reported compatibility list, and the game is listed as compatible.  Work in 64-bit or 32-bit Windows 7?  I will try to reinstall the game, if you did an upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 recently.  If it is a new installation and does not, please visit the EA's Web site to get the latest patch for the game to see if that helps address your problem.  Let me know if you've done all that and you still have questions, and we can try something else.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but the error still occurs.  Seems to have happened after an update of Windows Vista (this machine is rarely connected to the Net).

  In the search window, type services.msc
  Click on the above result that says services (you may need to right click and choose Run as administrator to open)
  Look for the HP Cue (or similar)
  Make sure it is started and in auto mode (automatic not delayed or manual)

  Uncheck hpqtray08 and hpqst08.exe if it is in the list

  Always impossible to use printing and scanning doctor. Same message as it closes. Hope that I won't need it. Don't know what the problem is with the diagnosis. Will retain the option of restoration in mind.

  I can print with USB and wireless, so I guess I'm ok now.

When I had problems with getting Internet from my office, I was able to access the internet through my laptop using the same wireless router FIOS. My desktop is Windows Vista Home Premium and using a wireless router FIOS I know is not (FIOS router) at the origin of the problem.
