  Recently, I connected a network cable for my laptop. This cable seems to be a Poe cable. Ethernet standard, but with a power supply to power a video conference phone.

  After this event, my network card does not work. Ethernet lights don't work. My windows 7 says that a cable is not connected.

  In Device Manager, I uninstalled the network device and when I'm looking for material changes it finds my network device but it still does not work. It is not a software problem.

  Is it possible for this Poe cable to have fried my Ethernet card?
  Any suggestions to resurrect my Ethernet?

  To be honest I put t have experience with these issues but if you want to test how the hardware install original recovery image and test the operation of the equipment with the settings.

  It is certainly the best way to test the operation of the equipment.

  Hello everyone, I have a license for Circuit Design Suite that covers version 11 and I have version 10 installed. I have a project that I need to work on that was originally in version 11 on another computer. It cannot be opened with version 10.   When I run it, the program communicates with the notification server and then tells me that "no software will be installed or deleted", giving me only the options to go back or cancel. From what I've seen, this message indicates that the software in question is already installed on the machine, but it is not. I tried this with the 11.0.0.1 and 11.0.0.2 update installation files. I used a test version 12 for awhile, but my license does not support and the trial period has expired. I already tried a complete uninstall and reinstallation of version 10 using the installation image, but the update always gives the same message. If anyone else has experienced this? Thank you.

  If you bought V10 and V11, we published within the period of SSP, you must download education 11.0 or Pro.  If you said that you renewed the contract of SSP, then you should download 11.0.1.

• Digital output is not 5V when connected to a circuit

  I have a very simple circuit I want to operate a valve. I have a NI USB 6008 with 12 digital i/o ports, a KF0602D solid state relay, 12V power and a solenoid valve.

  The idea behind this circuit is pretty simple: use a digital line of the 6008 to close or open the switch in the KF0602D. With the switch closed, current flows from the power supply through the switch, to the valve and that opens. When the switch opens no current flow and the valve closes.

  When I plug my 6008 in the KF0602D, however, my 'high' digital output falls from 5V to 1.73V. It's a problem because my switch requires at least 3V to close. I don't know why the voltage decreases because the relay is supposed to just on 3mA current with an input 5V, wells in the area of the specs listed 6008. What can I do to make this work?

  I have an itunes library old and beloved of some 38 000 songs and 1 100 podcasts, as well as dozens and dozens of playlists (I buy a lot of music and RIP, so every month for the past eight years, I made a playlist folder containing the songs I ripped this month). My media is not organised by itunes - everything is in its own folder.

  However, I have fried my CPU and motherboard, and the guy at the shop convinced me to switch to an SSD HD to run windows. That's nice, but there is not enough room for the itunes library. It is still on my old HD 2 TB - that used to be C:, but now it's f:

  I was able to get the library loaded to the top, but he has no idea where all the songs are. They used to all be in a file tree that went C:\users\Querenciazine\music\[subfolder], as follows:

• Qosmio F60 - Toshiba updates causing the blue screen (BSOD)

  I applied updates based on the recommendations of the Toshiba Service Center app on my F60 and now it starts with windows and then displays the BSOD. Updates have been a nVidia display driver and an update of the BIOS, published on 11/10/2010.

  I did a windows 7 system restore but problem still occurring. Managed to get to a command prompt, so I can back up my files at least.

  Somehow the whole story seems strange to me.
  First the AC adapter should provide enough power to recharge even running some applications of high performance game.

  Second question also sounds very strange and I guess there must be some sort of dysfunction Ac adapter.
  I recommend you contact Toshiba service guys in your country in order to check the AC adapter.

  In case of hardware malfunction, the part needs to be replaced. Guarantee is valid?
  In this case, that the room should be replaced free of charge.

• I can't retrieve the Satellite M40 (M45 in the United States)

  I m not an expert in Linux but for as far as I know this error message appears if the boot partition is available, BUT the file system is no more recognized by GRUB.

  If you try to boot from windows to check the grub.conf file contains entries
  root (hdX, Y) (or rootnoverify (hdX, Y)) and (hdX, Y) chainloader + 1

• Compaq 500 b memory and CPU compatibility problem

  I have a Compaq 500 b MT, that came from the factory with 1 GB of RAM and a processor Intel Celeron E3200 CPU.  I upgraded my memory to two sticks of 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1600 RAM, which worked perfectly for a while.  I then upgraded my CPU to an Intel Pentium E6500 CPU processor (supported), and when the start he gave me a code beep RAM (1 short, 1 long, 3 second pause) error.  I bought 2 sticks of memory PNY thinking I have fried my other sticks.  Same beep code.

  To make a long story short, I tried all possible combinations of the two processors and the three types of memory. The only time wherever I could get the Pentium E6500 to start was with the factory installed 1 GB memory.  It would give errors of memory with any of the other 2 GB sticks, even when considered individually.  Celeron CPU works very well with them.

  Is there something that I need in order to get the E6500 working with sticks of 2 GB of RAM?

  Now everything works except the keys R, F, V, Fn.

  HEY Bela,

  If you're lucky then spilt tea will only have caused a short-circuit in the keyboard itself and won't not flowed through to the motherboard. In this case, it would be possible to clean the keyboard or have it replaced by an authorized Service partner (to maintain the guarantee).

  Unfortunately, you will not be between the ab and do you much because it will be dismantled and that would invalidate the warranty.

• Death by Satellite M30 - what can do?

  The other day, my Satellite M30, I bought in September 2004, turns off suddenly for no apparent reason. Since then, when I try to turn it on, the power LED button lights up for a split second then turn off, and the power led (one on the left) on the front starts flashing yellow.

  I tried to remove and it run without battery or adapter right battery replacement, but he refuses to start. It is unlikely that anything it either inside could have fried, I use a surge protector.
