  This problem occurs if the Windows Media Player database is corrupted.

  To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

  (a) click Start , click run , type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then click OK.

  (b), select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

  Note  You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  (c) restart Windows Media Player.

  Note  Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  Hello

  I am running XP Pro SP3 with Windows Media Player 11.  When I copy a cd, I am able to see all metadata for the album, wallets, etc...  After extraction of the CD, when I go to the library and look in the library recently added, the album metadata disappears and I have to do an Album Info find all over again.   Is there a setting I need to use to keep the library metadata of the tear of the album?

  I suggest that you try to reset the library, by following the instructions for WMP 11 on XP at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary. Note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too.

  We just got a new laptop with windows 7 and I guess windows media player the windows media player 12. I tried to add songs on my mp3 player. After I rip the songs on the cd, I can't drag and drop them in my playlist. When I drag a song it shows a picture of the cover of the cd, with the words "a track" on this subject and a red circle with a slash but it. He didn't let me down. I've never had a problem with media player before on our other computer. I'm doing something wrong or something is wrong with my drive? I tried different CD 2 and 2 separate mp3 players.

I think he said he had to go to Lion first and then upgrade to latest, although we both agreed that El Capitan was too buggy. Anyone know what I need to do to let the download procedure OS know that my ols is now a new machine?

  Where did you buy the RAM module?  If it was not directly a source of Apple, you did it sure it was for the year and the time of year of output of your model (i.e. mid-2006 MacBook Pro)?  To identify the age, go to this tip:

  Specs such as CT541631 CT2KIT12864AC667.000 are totally superfluous, unless they also indicate what year and the time of year, the model came out.
