I have no sound. No audio output device installed. He worked until yesterday. What will fix it?

I was working with someone on the internet to try to get my computer faster and stop gel. He had a few things to try

I had to install Firefox and noscript, and do a chkdsk scan. I think that somewhere in that's where I lost my sound. Someone at - it help?

Click on 'Control panel' - look for "Sound Devices" (speakers, etc.) ... It will take a lot of things, you will see two small blocks - read (Mute)... DO NOT CLICK ON MUTE.  If MUTE is checked, ask your check on the other box just below to MUTE.  Then go on to down through the rest of the detail and it should be "explicit" to make sure that you get your sound back... Carefully observe what he read here on and you should get your sound back...  I hope this helps...

    Hello

As a boarder, said, if you have a Conexant sound card, you should look for a Conexant audio driver.
The Realtek driver will never work because that makes this different s.

Check other Toshiba laptops for the same card his Conexant. Maybe you can find a Conexant Vista driver.

  • Re: Satellite a series - error message "No Audio output device" installed

The small icon in the lower right corner that normally allows you to control the sound settings now appear with a red X next to it, and when I move the mouse over it I get the message above "No Audio output device" installed I have absolutely no idea why this happens suddenly, but I noticed a couple of weeks, and then a few days later, when I turned on the laptop, the sound was back to normal.

Now, I have this message again-, it seems it's random... sometimes when I turn on the machine it is ok, other times I get the above message. I touch any of the settings ever as I am a non-technical person, so have no idea why this is happening suddenly. I tried simply to reboot the machine, but it does not (today).

My machine is a portable satellite. If you ve of suggestions as to how I can just get my sound back to normal (i.e. in the background, something not not to even think to, it works just as you would expect), please posting a reply. Warranty service was going to get paid for their time. I'm sure it's a very simple solution and I would appreciate greatly any help you can give me.

Thanks yo a lot for your time in reading this.

  • No audio output device installed on sucks TC-605 with Win 8.1

I had to reinstall the drivers on my sucks TC-605 Win 8.1 running everything seems to work ok, except that I get a no audio output device installed.  I have tried everything I can think of, including the removal and reinstall all the drivers, deactivation and reactivation of the hardware in the Device Manager.  I think that perhaps there is a secret in order that the Intel Chipset drivers are installed before the Realtek audio drivers?  I've seen a lot of reports on various web sites and some that reference the Windows Audio service is restarted.  I tried ALL these "fixes" several times, but no luck!  Any help to diagnose and resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

  • No sound: no audio output device is installed. no choice of audio device in Device Manager.

I started my pc windows 7 today like any other day, and he has not played the music to start. Then I looked at the volume icon in the corner and there was a big red X on the speaker symbol. I go over it and it displays the message "no audio output device is installed". I was confused, so I went to check the Device Manager and there is no sound Devices(or whatever it is called) tab. I then restarted my computer 3 times and still have no sound. I would try a system restore, but I can't choose restore points after the first start I did this morning. My sound card is a card for the Asus M2N - SLI. Any Suggestions?

    Hi j03d03190,

    • Do you see unknown devices in Device Manager?

    Step 1

It seems that the Audio drivers are deleted or removed from the computer. I tried to check for audio drivers for your card mother M2N SLI and could not find drivers Audio in Windows 7. However, I suggest to download the Audio from Vista drivers from the Asus site and install it and check if that helps you solve the sound problem. Access the link below and download the Audio drivers for Windows Vista and install it.

    http://support.ASUS.com/download/download.aspx

    Step 2

You can also run Windows update on your computer and check updates and install and check it it helps you to install the audio drivers and to solve the sound problem. Access the link below and follow the steps to install Windows updates.

  • Is there a way to have Firefox respects the audio output device by default when it has been modified while Firefox is open?

I've been a Firefox user for many years and I still use it as my main browser. A problem that has bothered me for years lies in the fact that when Firefox is open and I change my audio output device by default, Firefox does not respect this change and continues to play audio through the device that was used to originally. Even if you stop the audio and keep playing, does not change the output device.

Is there a way that this can be configured in Firefox? Now, if I listen to music online (e.g. Soundcloud) I always use Chrome because it is respect changing the default audio output even in the middle of audio playback device.

    Reproduce:

    1. start audio playback (for example a YouTube video; HTML5 and Flash are affected)
    2. change your audio output device by default
    3. audio will continue to play the original output device

  • No audio output device installed - already tried the solutions here

I have a HP Pavilion dv6707us laptop with Windows Vista. My sound icon says "no audio output device is installed". When I open sounds, no device is listed, and when I go to Device Manager, there is no category of "sound, video and game controllers". Also, it does not show any audio device listed under any category even when I click on 'Show hidden devices '. I tried to install several audio drivers, but he always says something in the sense of "complete the installation because there is no media for this driver device. I think that my laptop came with Conexant HD audio, but it appears under "Programs", not in "Device Manager". I also tried to go on 'Administrative tools' Services' but Audio Windows is already activated. I can't afford to spend money right now, so if there is any way I can fix it for free, that would be great. Help!

  • No audio output device installed-HP DV2618ca

No audio output device is installed, tried everything

I have a HP DV2618ca equipped for vista, now works with sp2, which began to lose audio a few weeks ago.  When the laptop would go to sleep, then start the sound does not work, I had to do a system restore to fix.  Recently, the sound was lost together, even when you do a system restore.  I just reinstall Vista hoping it would fix it, but it seems its been there now irreparable.  In the taskbar, I have the red x on the "speaker" icon and it says: "no Audio output device is installed".  When I go into Device Manager, there is no option for sound.  When I try to install the drivers it tells me "access denied" and that it cannot find the necessary device.  I went into Windows services and Windows Audio seems to work correctly.  I continue to read instructions that tell me to go to Device Manager and disable and re - install the drivers but there is no option for the sound, its windows as completely got rid of my audio device.  I tried to download an update that was supposed to solve these problems, but he told me that the update was not for my version of vista.  It's so frustrating.  Any help?
