I have no sound on my PC laptop Toshiba Equium suddenly, what should I do about it?

Hi, all of a sudden my internal speakers on my laptop are no longer works.  I uninstalled the drivers from speakers on the Toshiba site and reinstalled them.  They are Realtek hidef speakers.  The sound in my system tray icon is showing that works very well.  Poster as Device Manager works normally.  Any ideas as to what I should do?  Thank you

Hi Andyjames2008,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

I will need more information to help you better.

1. have you made changes on the computer?

2. how old is your computer?

3. have you already tried to connect external speakers and check if you get the sound?

In the meantime, I recommend that you try the following.

You can try to perform a system restore on the computer to an earlier date, when you were able to hear the sound from the internal speakers. You can follow the part 2 of the given link:

http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/936212

You can also try right-clicking on the "speaker" icon and select the playback devices.

When opens his window check that the speakers are selected as the output device.

If you were able to get the sound from external speakers, I suspect the internal speakers wiring may cause the problem, and in this case, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the computer. You can get the contact information from the following link:

http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

Hope the information will help. Please post back and we do know.

Thank you & best regards

  • Can't use the product key, because 2 of the numbers/letters have rubbed off and I can't read them. What should I do?

My computer crashed and now I have to put in my product key for microsoft. The only problem is that 2 of the numbers/letters have rubbed off and I can't read them. What should I do?

    Original title: product key

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

  • Receive an alert of Mozilla FireFox saying: I have viruses on CPU, however, Avira software showes nothing. What should do?

While an alert of Mozilla Firefox navigation popped up, indicating that I had some ongoing activity. He said push the tab start to run a test, I did. The result is that I had a virus (Trojan and malware) on my computer. To correct, he said to download something from Creative Technologies... I have not download - not knowing what it was. My anits-virus Avira software shows nothing. Who is right/trust, and what should I do if I meet once again it?

    Thank you for your help
    Gerry

Mozilla Firefox is a web browser, not an antivirus scanner.

This looks like one of those sites where a fake animated scanner happens (in a Windows theme) and then pretend you're infected with something false, just to let you download which will really be that infects the computer Windows run. Most obvious, that it is wrong when we get this on Mac OSX or Linux.

  • I have an HP 8500 a printer, when I have printer, laptop computer goes down, what should I do?

I recently got a new laptop, always had a desktop computer, I have a printer HP8500A, always worked very well, connected to the laptop software undated and when I print, the laptop crashes.  Not all the time, it's like I can't do two things at the same time.  I have something not on or off, which creates a problem of memory, also, have a Zebra LP2844 I can't go to work.  I think I may need to change a setting?

Laptop or desktop makes no difference.

Don't simply plug you in a printer and expect it to work, you install the full features of this site of printer manufacturers software or using their cd and installed according to the instructions of the printer manufacturers, see if HP support pages.

  • Hello, I have Lightroom and Photoshop CC on a mac and a PC laptop. I bought another mac now and no longer want to use the laptop PC (windows). What should I do to load them on the new mac? First remove the applications from the laptop?

I have Lightroom and Photoshop CC on an imac and windows laptop PC. I've now bought another mac and want to use the laptop to windows. I need to remove the applications from the laptop first, then download new mac?

    Hello

Lol you should not remove it. You can turn it off with the signing of the application Adobe CC.

Reference: connect and disconnect activate Cloud Creative applications

And then you can install it on your other machine.

    Kind regards

  • I have no sound on my computer all of a sudden. I get an error "no audio output device is installed".

  • across from the bottem of my screen and about a quarter way to the top of my screen has a line appear and below this line, everything is blurry. It seems to have something to with the reality of the screen itself, what can I do about it?

I already tried the restore but it is still there, what can I do?

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Then:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

If it persists, it may be a hardware problem.

Contact the manufacturer of the computer/monitor.

  • Laptop / desktop... what should I do?

    Hello

I intend to work on short documentary pieces in the next 6 months to support various volunteer groups working with poor and disadvantaged groups. This means that I'll be traveling and editing a little while on the move... (but may be able to arrange a mounting base where a desktop computer is always an option.)

I will be editing images HDSLR.

My current system has CS4, Win732bit, Intel Core (2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz, 2394 Mhz, 4 Core, 4 logical processors with graphics: NVIDIA 8800GT)

    Key questions:

1.) is a more recent laptop when combined with an upgrade to 64-bit and CS5 sufficient to change HDSLR footage? (The budget was limited to about $2000 to $2500 US))

2.) this will offer more performance and reliability than my current desktop with CS4?

(3.) I'm open to buy any laptop... Mac or PC... I'd like something that takes full advantage of the etc CS5 mercury engine... I have access to enough good deals for HP laptops through my current job. Is there a laptop of HP or Mac that can recommend which provides good bang for your buck?

(ie. budget range from $1500 to $3400 US)

    Reviews or thoughts greatly appreciated.

I don't want to spend a lot of money on a laptop to see that this is not a useful or productive solution.

    Thank you!

    I have

The i7-840QM is too slow and the P55 mobo is not suitable for editng HD material. 8 GB memory it cut extremely thin. A single disk is not enough, at least two 7200 RPM SATA disks are required, three is much better.

Start with a processor i7 - 9xx, not the mobile version of Mr. Add 12 GB of memory in the equation and the GTX 460 M disks, which is pretty good, over at least 2 or 3 7200 tr / MIN and you will be OK.

  • We can not get firefox installed on our new laptop with windows 8, what should we do?

I have a 8.1 of Windows on a new computer platform. When we try to download firefox button returns to push in execution. After that, Norton scan and says that it is safe, but a new program with very few people to use. I click on the spot by saying that it is safe and it goes, but the program does not work. I also tried to download and then run. It will download but when I try to run Norton rises and happens the same thing as above.
I also tried to disable Norton for an hour and tried 2 same things as above with the same results.

In the case where Norton opposes the "stub" Installer (the download has the word "stub" in the name) try using the full installer. You can download from the following page, just scroll your preferred language:

  • I can't log out of windows xp pro unless I have use Bishop task to do. What should I do about it?

I have two accounts set up on win xp pro user.  Sometimes I can disconnect one but not the other, and it seems to flip flop that connects first.  It will change user but will not register.  Most recent he won't close the session.  I use task mgr to close the session and he still hesitates to do.

Shutdown problems (or logoff) are usually caused by a program or process that won't come out gracefully. The program or process may be against malware, or may be legitimate (for example a pervasive like Norton or McAfee antivirus). If you use Norton or McAfee product, uninstall it and replace it with a better program like NOD32, Kasperksy or Avast (free). The Windows Firewall is enough for most people. Shutdown problems can also be caused by old/badly written drivers so make sure that all drivers are updated, especially on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

A.the first step should always ensure that your computer is free of viruses/malware.

    B. If the computer is free of viruses/malware, the drivers are current, and no program Norton or McAfee is installed, then do boot minimum troubleshooting to see what program/process is the culprit:
