  If you can not solve the problem, then you could try System Restore. To access, simply click on the Start button in the left corner. Then select all programs. After that, go to acsessories. Then, you click on system tools. After that, simply choose System Restore. You can then select the date to which you want to restore the machine. I he would restore the date before you start to have problems. Be aware that you may need to reinstall some things on rare occasions, but it's never happened to me and I did system restore several times.
