I have Photoshop CS6 extended that I bought as a student in 2012. It comes with a disc for loading. I loaded it on two computers. One of my computers is gone belly up so I had to buy a new computer with Windows 10. How can I reload the program?

  How do you create the new layer? Looks like you have a selection and use ctrl/cmd-J. If you have a choice and it is empty, you will get this error.
