Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools.     I need 192.168.120.1 to be able to do a ping 202.xxx.xx.242 for the purpose of the SLA, which means that I need to NAT to break the internet. However, I also need to be able to SSH to 192.168.120.1 during several VPN tunnels to other branches on private subnets.

    How can I configure a NAT to my ASA rule so that 192.168.120.1 tries to talk to 202.xxx.xx.242, NAT 192.168.120.1 to the internet, but all other destinations than 192.168.120.1 should talk to the service (IE LAN via VPN), do not NAT?

    I would recommend a NAT twice basically is the same terminology as a 'political NAT', you can specify that your source host will be translated to some IP only when it is addressed to some destination or destinations, so, basically, you can create a network of the object with the IP address of the source, another network object with the public IP address you want to use to translate the 192.168.x.x address and then click the destination network object, so it will be like this:

    network of the IP_192.168.120.1 object

    Home 192.168.120.1

    network of the TRANSLATED_IP_FOR_192.168.120.X object

    host 99.99.99.99 -> an example

    Network IP_202.XXX of the object. XXX.242

    202.xxx of the host. XXX.242

    NAT static IP_192.168.120.1 TRANSLATED_IP_FOR_192.168.120.X destination (indoor, outdoor) static source IP_202.XXX. XXX.242 IP_202.XXX. XXX.242

  • Does anyone have problems with playback when editing v9.2?

    I have problems with playback when you change a small project (4 min).  I had a few problems on previous projects, but this one is particularly bad.   When I read my edition, the (unique) audio plays normally but video lags or freezes completely.  I can get around it temporarily by parts of the sequence rendering, but that's a lot of time and as soon as I make a change, the problem reappears.  I updated drivers etc. After reading the other reviews but it now becomes impractical, and I'm seriously considering whether I should continue with first or look for something more reliable

    The only area I think needs expansion is the disk configuration.  Here's what I recommend as a starting point.

    C: Windows and programs

    D: project files, audio, and still images

    E: cache and Scratch

    F: media camera only

    G: export

    In addition, a form of backup solution in place.

    The above will give you excellent disk performance, spreading things to prevent the creation of a bottleneck.  It is based on the use of the HARD drive, simply because they always have the best bang for the buck.  But if you have the scratch for some good sized SSD, the situation changes a bit.  You could probably combine D and E on a single SSD and F and G on a third party, without slowing things down significantly.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Data recovery, if/before you reinstall:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    Download the Vista software from the link above.

    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

    The work around works of Jean.  It would be nice if Adobe provided a real difficulty however.

    I have ADE installed 4.03.  The problem will occur as soon as that ADE is closed and reopened.    It takes so the patch every time allows you to download a book ADE.

    1. for Overdrive - select a book and click Download. -pop - up - select - Save file. - under the open with select - acsm_auto_file - download the file of social mobilization in your download directory.

    2. expand the Explorer open the file - go up to the OS (c)-

    -go to Program files (x 86) - enlarge

    -to enlarge Adobe

    -go to Adobe Digital Editions and the left click.

    -On the right part of the screen right click on Digitaleditions.exe.

    -Pop - up menu - on the left, click PROPERTIES

    -Pop up to select COMPATIBILITY

    -at the top of the menu compatibility, choose the resolution of compatibility issues run

    -Pop up to select the troubleshooting program

    -It should work, but you have to go through the whole routine if you close ADE.

    I HOPE ADOBE will solve this problem. With each update of Windows 10 ADE seems crumbles a bit more.

    I get the error message when you try to run the backup. I tried to run a check disk at startup, but I get another message indicating that I can't because "cannot access volume. What can I do?

    Try running the disk drive check WinRE using the full version of Windows Vista disk and check if it helps.

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

    c. When you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

    Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt

    f. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER

    Chkdsk /f /r X: (drive letter)

    Note: When you run the disk check, there are chances of losing data if you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

    g. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
