  Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

  The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

  You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7

  If you have CS5, there goes that Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 and you need to 7.4.

  There is a free way out. Convert the raws in DNG format to be able to open them in 6.7

  First download and install the DNG Converter.

  Eager to start using plug in Camera Raw for PS CS6, I find that it is not active. (1) in Bridge CS6, ACR in main menu icon is gray. (2) after you click on an image in Bridge JPEG file, then right click on it, it has no option to open in Camera Raw. (3) by using the file menu of the bridge, there is no visible Camera Raw option; and (4) in PS CS6, from File > Open, then choosing 'Camera Raw' in the drop-down list of options activate, each JPEG file is grayed out.

  My attempts to activate Camera Raw involve (1) download DNG Converter 8.7.1 and (2) try to download ACR 8.3... Update from Adobe. That second effort failed, receive this error code: "Camera Raw 8.3 (CS6) U44M2P7. I currently have AdobeCameraRaw7.0ALL and AdobeCameraRawProfile7.0ALL installed on a Mac under OS10.7.6.

  I don't know what else to do. Please tell me how to activate Camera Raw using Photoshop CS6.

• Windows Installer will not work. I have Norton Antivirus, CCleaner, Securia, etc.. Some programs start more. I have Office 2002 and my processor will not open.

  After problems with my system slows down, I found Windows Installer, stop operation. I have Windows XP Home Edition, SP3. I have Office 2002 and my processor will not open. I tried to install install 4.5, but it wouldn't work.  I can't start in my Services, either, even if it is configured to start automatically.   If you USB, most of the time, the PC will recognize what printer is which. Sometimes PORTS does not commute. You can manually change the correct ports if necessary.

  CLICK ON THE MENU START

  1 devices and printers

  2 right CLICK on the printer

  3. choose the PRINTER PROPERTIES

  4. click on PORTS

  5. There will be a list of ports with one (checked marked). If it's on the wrong port, change to the right pair and choose APPLY.

  (NOTE: it must ALWAYS be on a USB port or a wireless connection.) Some ports wireless start with a #(adresse IP) or a SERIAL number)

  I hope this helps. Sometimes, you can create your own port if you have more questions.

  The Applications CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC are good software to work with Sony's RAW files.

  And also, they provide a good result when working in Camera Raw.

  Looks like you did a system rather than a system restore recovery.  If you have inserted a disc supplied with your machine and booted from it, you probably erased the disc and installed the original operating system provided with your computer.  Usually, a step in this recovery is to do a full format or quick of your drive.  If you did a full format, your data is permanently lost.  With a quick format, your data may still be there, somewhere but inaccessible by normal means.  Applications must generally be installed, in order to recover the files probably will not help unless you have the original installation media.  Your other data files (images, videos, financial data) may be salvageable, but at this point, it would be advisable to take your computer or your disk to a business/professional who is experienced with data disc recovery.  It will be cheap and there is no guarantee.

  Impatient, remember investigate you a backup strategy for your computer and critical data.  Hard drives can go wrong with little or no warning.

  Try the "all Apps" in blue on the right, there is another menu in the menu drop down, below people say "See the previous Versions..."

  Camera Raw 9.7 is necessary to have support for this model of camera raw files. And camera raw 9.7 is not compatible with Photoshop CS6. If you have decided to stay with this version of Photoshop then your the cheaper option would be to download converter DNG 9.7 and create copies of your raw images that will open in Camera Raw DNG 9.1.1. What has happened that lead you to believe that Camera Raw 9.1.1 has not installed? If you go to help-> on plug-ins and choose Camera Raw, what version?

I mean, LR works with its own installation of Camera Raw, or not? And if Lightroom and Photoshop work with the same Camera Raw installation, is the current version (installed with the current version of the CC PS)-compatible Camera Raw with Lightroom 6.1.1?

  Lightroom and Photoshop do not share the Camera Raw plug-in. The Camera Raw code used by Lightroom is cooked in Lightroom.

  Using the most recent PS and ACR will not be a problem as long as you don't try to use cameras not supported by LR 6.1.1.
