I have the nVidia drivers even if I don't have an nVidia GPU.

Hi all

I use a Samsung NP300E5C-A07US. I found that I have the pre-installed NVidia drivers.

I use Intel, and I didn't install any games. Why is there this driver? Can I uninstall it?

Thank you

  • 10 Windows cannot detect the Nvidia GPU, I'm lost...

So here's the deal; After weeks "Please install w10" spam I finally gave a w10 installed on my Alienware Laptop m17x. After that, my computer has forgotten the Nvidia card installed, and no matter what I tried it does not detect the GPU. So I used the button of regret and I went back to my original w7 configuration, but my problem followed me and still it cannot detect my Nvidia GPU. I tried to install and reinsall the Explorer GeForce, but nothing. Any suggestions please?

    Now, Windows 7-64, right?

PSA or ePSA (Diags, outside of Windows) and see if the NVidia card is detected and tested.

You can also try Safe Mode.

Finally, you might want to try a fresh install / cleaning Windows-7 and base drivers (chipset first). You can first to backup Image your current installation.

To force an application to use your NVIDIA graphics card, right click on its shortcut (or an .exe file), point on run with graphics processor and select the NVIDIA processor high performance.

  • Google Update is running in the Task Manager, even if I don't have Google chrome open

    Original title: Googleupdate.exe * 32

    Windows 7 HP 64 bit.  (sp1)

Google Update is running in the Task Manager, although I have not Google chrome opened.  My pc is running slowly, my network is slow.  Its bad enough I can't install programs via a disc more (which didn't need internet connection or speed), but to have windows and other services that run in the background continuously, who do not have something productive and I cannot control drives me crazy.    I need to disable or stop the services, tasks, programs that run several times and are not necessary.  Some do not stop little matter what I do or restart even if disabled.   I ran antivirus, malware software software and nothing shows ever.

    As an administrator:

    I disabled (via the services)

    1 Google update service (gupdatem)

    2 Googe Update service (gupdate)

But I still Googleupdate.exe * 32 running.   I check and these both are disabled.  So is there a service control for programs and services 86 bit 64-bit and 32-bit?  And how to get there?  Or is it in software?

How to disable the GoogleUpdate.exe. service * 32?

    Thank you

  • DirectX (dxdiag) doesn't list that the Integrated GPU, Nvidia GPU

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS L501X running Windows 7. It has an integrated GPU and a Nvidia GT 420 M. It is to date regarding the Windows updates, drivers, and BIOS.

I find that it doesn't seem like the Nvidia GPU is never used - using Control Panel Nvidia to use either the built-in or GPU Nvidia makes no difference when you play a game (comparing the comparative analysis of the game). If I try to run 3DMark11 it tells me there are installed DirectX 11 hardware.

When I run dxdiag only the built-in GPU is listed. When I do the same thing on my laptop working (also a Dell XPS, different model through), I get the same thing, except when I have my external monitor attached (via HDMI), then there are two tabs to display, and a GPU is described on each.

Perhaps incidentally, but I noticed recebtly "Windows Live Display Driver" listed with the other two in Device Manager. Looks like this is part of Windows Live Mesh, and I've seen people talk about problems because of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I tried to get to the bottom of this long!

"... "Windows Live Display Driver" listed with the other two in Device Manager. Looks like this is part of Windows Live Mesh, and I've seen people talk about problems because of this. »

I don't have it on my machine but, the display driver Windows Live is for
Windows Live Mesh, as you said.  There may be a conflict between her and
    Nvidia drivers.
If you do not need a desktop remotely via Windows Live feature then uninstall.
or somehow turn off (perhaps in the Boot System Configuration tab?)
    the Live Mesh service.
Maybe check programs and features before uninstalling via Device Manager.

The issue is that stereoscopic 3D is missing on my Nvidia Panel,
I have contacted the customer of NVIDIA, mail service, and they said that:

+ To work in 3D display must connected to the NVIDIA graphics card. +
+ I would suggest you check with the manufacturer of the laptop if there was no output or not connected to the NVIDIA graphics card. +

    Hello

To use nVidia 3D Vision, you will need to set the projector at 120 Hz
You can do this in display properties
Control Panel-> appearance and personalization-> display.

In addition you must set the GPU nVidia as a default value for specific programs to use 3D on 120 Hz disaply external.

Start-> Control Panel-> nVidia Control Panel.
Now, expand 3D category settings and select manage 3D settings.
In the program settings tab, select a program that needs to use the nVidia GPU (required for 3D) map

Now select the GPU for this program.

  • T430: Cannot change the GPU using the NVIDIA Control Panel

    Hello world

I recently bought a T430 including a NVIDIA NVS 5400 M. games graphics card (for example, Max Payne 3) used to run fast, using the NVIDIA GPU. Today, I tried to play a video game once more (after having not played for several weeks). Unfortunately, my OS (Win7, 64-bit) assigns the GPU from Intel, resulting in a much lower speed. Using the NVIDIA Control Panel, I can't change my favorite GPU (changes will not be saved). I already run a update of Lenovo and installed the latest graphics driver (296.88), which resulted in no improvement.

When you start a game, I can choose my graphics manually, but I would like to configure some general settings using the control panel.

    Do you have any solutions?

    Thank you very much.

  • How to set up the Intel Graphics = battery / AC Power = nVIDIA GPU?

Right, so I formatted my laptop and reinstalled all the drivers Lenovo stocks to avoid headaches

I'm on a High Performance plan for the moment

What I want to do is... set the plan of the High Performance always use the nVIDIA GPU if I was connected to the power adapter or battery.

I also want to set the balanced plan to use the GPU nVIDIA while on AC power, but go to the Intel graphics card when I use the battery

How can I configure it that way?

    Thank you

Never mind, I just realized I can simply press the button located on the right side of the laptop to switch between graphics chipsets

  • XPX L501X - Completely unused Nvidia GPU

    Hello

I have a XPS L501X with an Nvidia GT 420 M GPU, which I think basically perhaps never worked.

I have struggled for centuries to get a game I want to play (Codemasters F1 2011) to play at a usable level. With all the graphics settings set very low the test bench has never makes about 24 fps at most, often less. The Nvidia Control Panel signals that the game should use the Nvidia GPU and not integrated Intel, so it seemed very low. I finally thought I'd try running the same test but to launch the game by using the integrated chip - it gives exactly the same result. From what I see the Nvidia GPU is never used.

It's obviously very disappointing. If someone could help me get the Nvidia GPU to use I would be really grateful.

    Thank you

    Toby

    Hi Toby,

My apologies for taking more time than expected. We did some research on the issue.

Given that the discrete GPU works when connected to a TV using a HDMI cable, it is not a hardware related issue. If the GPU nVIDIA had been bad, it would be not be performed with the HDMI cable. We also explored all other options such as reinstalling the video drivers and reconfigure the parameters of nVIDIA GPU. But nothing seems to have worked so far. It seems to be a problem with the system software. I recommend a new "reinstalling Windows" to see if that makes a difference. I do not pretend that you a factory reset is because you had to deal with it since the first day. and it is possible that the original hard disk image is damaged.

Do not respond to the results.

  • Satellite P875-102: how to choose nVidia GPU to run in battery mode

    Hi all

Displays the first time since a long time owner of laptop Toshiba.
Just bought a new P875-102, which I am very happy with (non - HD 1600 x 900 screen is the only downside).

In any case, I was wondering if there is a way to force the machine to use the graphics card from nVidia while on battery? Graphics performance through the floor when I unplug the power cable which leads me to believe that it is not through the nVidia card for the integrated Intel chip for low power.

I am aware that without a/c running nVidia card will limit my battery life, but I prefer to control this manually. The "eco mode" switch is fine for this.

The Setup is standard factory: Win7 x 64, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GT 630 M GFX.

I checked the settings of the Intel and nVidia control panels and have done everything to use the nVidia card. I also checked under Win 7 power plan settings and everything put on max performance on battery.

I'm running out of ideas about where search - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    > I was wondering if there is a way to force the machine to use the graphics card from nVidia while on battery?

Optimus technology automatically switches between the internal Intel HD gpu and nVidia GPU in order to save the battery.

But you can force and simple application to run and use the nVidia GPU.
This can be done in the nvidia Control Panel.

    1. click on start and then Control Panel. Select Classic view in the left side of the window.
    2. double-click on the NVIDIA Control Panel.
    3. click view, and then add the "Run with graphic processor" Option to the context Menu. Close the NVIDIA Control Panel.
    4. right click on the title of the application and select run with GPU. Then, click on NVIDIA processor high performance.

  • Y410P Nvidia GPU works only when plugged in?

    Hi all

I know that this is a frequently asked question, and I also knew that the Nvidia GPU raised only when an application heavy 3D graphics is charged.

This is the case. But I don't get a bad 3D rating (1 star or higher) during the game.

I have configured the program updated Nvidia 3D well on a level of high performance battery. The notification bar of Nvidia is also show that the game is loaded using the Nvidia GPU.

On the other hand, when the laptop is plugged in, I get a better mark 3D on the same game. How is that possible?

It is not comfortable, due to the fact that I need to plug the laptop when I want to play the game to get the best performance.

    All solutions? Thanks in advance.

Regardless of the number of parameters of high performance you activate, you will never get the same set of battery power that you can get plugged.

The battery can not simply support the GPU for the amount of power he needs to play games. At best, you can play a mediocre performance.
