"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer"
There seems to be a lot of people who get this notification. Too bad Microsoft chose not to tell us why its happening!
Is it possible to disable this notification? I've made a few changes in group policy limit some startup programs. Now, I suppose that this appears when the program tries to start. Really irritating. Maybe there's something in group policy to restrict the notification? Then there will be another notification telling me that this notification applies? Laughing out loud!

Original title: when I press the WINDOWS KEY + R runwindow opens & a massage said "THIS OPERATION has BEEN CANCELLED due to RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT ON THIS COMPUTER. PLAESE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.
After a Virus attack, I have a lot of problems such as help & does not support opening, Manager tasks doesn't work do not run applications does not, microsoft Security Center doesn't work don't not etc...
can someone help me with this issue please?Hi Parth1004,
1. you are the administrator of the computer?
2. the computer is on a domain network?
Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:
Method 1:
Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.
Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 provided in the above article.
Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.
Let us know the results.

When I try to open the message reads "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on the computer, contact your system administrator" can someone help me with this problem. The system is windows vista Home premium.
Have you installed Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE)? If so, you need not and should not run Windows Defender. MSE does all what does Windows Defender and much more. Boulder computer Maven

It is a roaming profile with policies. When a USB flash drive is plugged in for the first time, it installs but with invites it multiple restriction. The drive can be accessed and be used as usual after instillation. If the player is plugged into the same computer for the second time, there is no prompt. This also occurs on the readers no U3. Works as usual later with newly charge of roaming profile.
To be clear, I want that users can access USB drives.
I asked my dear friend Google, but he doesn't seem to know and I checked the policy, what don't get me?
