There is not a way to see or get your product from a computer key. There are 3rd party applications available that would allow an end user to do. We do recommend none of them because it would be contrary to our policy. A well-formulated search in your favorite search engine to provide you with the appropriate means.

  • Windows 7 Professional 64 bit product key cannot be used?

Well, I bought a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit and I try to update my PC after installing on the new PC to my father that I built for him. When I installed it on my gaming PC, everything was fine, but now I'm doing it on my work PC and it comes up saying that the key cannot be used on this computer! What! And yes the key that I use IS the one that came with my Windows software. It is NOT for the office, but for Windows 7! What is the PROBLEM! When I bought this copy of Windows I wanted to use it on several PC in our House. Product key should work whenever I use it! I paid for this thing, and the key is legitimate! And I won't go to the table more of 100 to 200 dollars for ANOTHER copy of windows just if I have a product key to be used; It's ridiculous!

you may not use the software on any other computer.

You agreed to the end user license agreement when you install. André has repeated the first part of the above agreement. Whether you like it or not, these are the conditions of the license. You cannot use the same key on multiple computers.
  • Windows XP Professional suddenly asking product key, but do not accept one printed on the laptop. What is going on?

I've had this laptop for 3 or 4 years, XP Professional. A few weeks, he told me that windows xp must be activated, so I entered the product key located on the sticker on the underside of the computer, but he told me that the key was invalid. I tried to call microsoft technical support, but the best advice they could give me was to remove all and reinstall windows. I would like to know if there is any way around it before I remove everything on my laptop to try something that might not even work.

    TIA

    Hi Tia,

  • Found the CD Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit with key, is there a way to see if it is valid?

So, I was just digging through a pile of junk today, and found Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with a product key stuck to it. It was an OEM kit (for some reason) and I wanted to see if it had been used. Is there a program to see if it is valid without installing it? Because I don't want to lose activation on this just check to see if it will work. Help is very appreciated. (I don't want to use a phone, if that's possible! I hate using the phone... xD)

If its opening, its likely has been used. Once you break the seal for an OEM System Builder kit, you are bound to the license agreement.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

  • Lost product key and cannot activate Windows 7

I bought windows 7 last year and now I've lost my product key to activate windows... can I recover my product key... Help, please

If it is a copy of the retail of Windows 7 you have purchased and installed yourself, then see the Belarc found a retail product key, unless you don't have the key at all when you installed everything first he.

If you don't have the product key that you execute by using just the default key, then you have to find your product key and enter it.

  • Windows upgrade offer - lost product key

    Hello world

So here is my dilemma - I have a Toshiba laptop that came pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium, when I bought it in October 2012. At the time, Microsoft was running a promotion called the Windows upgrade offer (http://www.windowsupgradeoffer.com), where, if you had purchased an eligible PC/Laptop, you could buy an upgrade to Windows 8 just AU $ 14.99.
Later, Microsoft ran a promotion where you can receive a free media center upgrade which allows you to install Windows Media Center.
Unfortunately, I lost the product key Windows 8 original I had received the supply of Windows 8 upgrade - and my laptop has been infected with a virus. I figured I'd just best to re - install Windows 8 by using the option "remove all and reinstall Windows" in the Windows 8 Control Panel. He was able to reinstall Windows, but asked me to enter a product key. Due to the fact that I could not find my product key, I used Belarc Advisor to find my product key, just before I went ahead with the process of re-installing. Bit I didn't, the product key that Belarc Advisor found was in fact Windows 8 with the product key for Media Center.
Thus, Windows won't let me activate, as the Setup is 'Windows 8 Pro', not 'Windows 8 Pro with Media Center'.
I contacted Microsoft via Twitter, phone (technical support, billing/accounts, activations and Microsoft Store departments) and live chat, those who have no record of my purchase. I still have the Windows upgrade offer promo ID and registration confirmation number I received in an email to * address email is removed from the privacy *, but they prove to be useless for support teams. Also the use of the Windows command summary site (http://mswos.com) does not seem to show my order.
Is that what I am able to do?

    Try contacting Microsoft, once again, that is your best option;
