I have XP, how do I know if my computer can handle an upgrade to windows 7
When I defragment it says I have 70% free space. My work with Southern Co. uses windows 7 and I'm supposed to receive a refresher to windows 7 but I don't know if my computer will run well with the upgrade. Is it possible that I can find out if my computer can handle the high grade. I've upgraded to office 2010. Hope someone can help me.

-------------------------------------- Device Drivers --------------------------------------------------
Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.
If there are Windows 7 drivers there is a good chance your computer supports Windows 7.
Download the drivers to a folder on your hard drive, burn it to a CD and once Windows 7 installed, install the drivers (all), starting with the mother/chipset, LAN, Audio, USB, SATA card, drivers, and so on.

I'm worried that maybe I need to upgrade my computer before you upgrade to Windows 7, so I would really like to Upgrade Advisor to tell me what I need. But whenever I try to run it, it just turns and turns and turns (I mean, more than two hours) without ever come up with anything. So what I do now?
If you want to know if your computer with Windows XP will be able to handle Windows 7, check system requirements Windows 7 on http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/system-requirements.
Compare with your own system, right-click on the icon for my computer and then click Properties.
As long as you an update from XP to 7, the only option you have is Custom installation so there is no sense to the current programs with Windows 7 compatibility check. The thing you should be concerned is the material part. Check the 3 main material that requires compatibility: CPU, RAM and disk space.

Dv6t-7200 notebook want: how will I know if my computer can be upgraded to windows 10?
I searched HP website to see if my computer can be upgraded to windows 10. I also tried the plug assistant in charge of hp and he has just directed me to a page of sale on windows 10. I don't want to mess up this computer and reload all the software, if it's not compatible. Is there a list of compatible computers HP or an app that I can run to check? I lost a lot of time looking for the HP support for this information. Microsoft told to go to the manufacturer for this information. Help, please.
They are going to do this Web page to verify, you can maintain control, the link on the next page is still broken.

Helps to know if my computer can run Windows 8.
I am running Windows XP Pro SP - 3 on a Dell computer that I remember precisely the age. When I try to run the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 8, I get an error message saying that it is not a valid Win 32 application, and it will not work. I was not able to find articles or messages by other people with this problem, so I'm at a loss to know how do I know if my computer can run Windows 8. Any suggestions or ideas?
My computer has a coprocessor 2 GHz and 3 GB of RAM, among other things, it seems that I should be able to make the transition. But, how can I do to determine if I can't run the upgrade wizard? I even tried Googling this issue, which usually find anything and cannot find any reference to this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

How will I know if my computer has been compromised by a scammer to phone?
My boss's mother got a call from scam you call Microsoft: your computer has a virus. They convinced her that they were trying to help. She turned on her computer and did a few things, then she felt uncomfortable and hung toward the top of the phone. How do I know if its system is in trouble. They advised him to shut down the computer. What can do us?
Hello
Avoid scams to phone for tech support
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspxIts a total scam. Uninstall their software and then perform a system restore before you install.
Change all your sensitive passwords at all sites - e-mail, Bank, credit cards and others. (Do not
on the computer compromise and it would be better to do it on the phone or in person.)You can even restore your system to factory fresh to make sure their software violates not
your security. (Ways to re - install Windows Clean - removing everything on the backup drive so all the data
before hand.)====================================================================

How will I know that my computer is in the background?
My computer is obviously something in the background as I hear it working, but I don't do anything in front of my computer and did not do anything. How will I know what he does? Could this be a virus? How will I know? I am running Windows 7. I have Kaspersky anti virus 2013, but he says that it is up-to-date. I looked at windows update, and he says that he has no significant update available. So, update kaspersky and windows do not seem to do anything.
Thanks if anyone can help.
