I have XP, how do I know if my computer can handle an upgrade to windows 7

When I defragment it says I have 70% free space. My work with Southern Co. uses windows 7 and I'm supposed to receive a refresher to windows 7 but I don't know if my computer will run well with the upgrade. Is it possible that I can find out if my computer can handle the high grade. I've upgraded to office 2010. Hope someone can help me.

-------------------------------------- Device Drivers --------------------------------------------------

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.

If there are Windows 7 drivers there is a good chance your computer supports Windows 7.

Download the drivers to a folder on your hard drive, burn it to a CD and once Windows 7 installed, install the drivers (all), starting with the mother/chipset, LAN, Audio, USB, SATA card, drivers, and so on.
