  I got this question I was not able to find an answer yet and I wonder if anyone of you could help me out here.

  I had a laptop that I use for work, which has Windows 7 Ultimate and a lot of software and personal files, I need. I recently bought a new more powerful laptop that will replace the one I use at the moment.

  My question is,

  Can I do a full to the top of the computer that I use and put it on the new computer, I will get? And then update the laptop with its own pilots?
  Is worth it to do a cleaning installation at all instead?
  Is it possible to transfer files and software from one machine to another using some sort of tool such as that used for XP to 7 or Vista to 7? Do we not have a Win 7 for Win 7 one?

  Hi sam,

  You can take a full backup of the data on your computer and transfer it to the new computer, but for the application, you need to install a new copy of the same thing.

  You can even use transfer Windows-a tool that helps you transfer files and settings from one computer to the other. But as you mentioned that you transfer to a powerful computer hardware and software conflict may appear, if you have a full backup you can perform a clean installation.

  Windows Server 2008 network.  Printers have ip addresses. Install the drivers from the Print Manager.  /Terminal Server Workgroup installation.

  It's the same situation with XP.  The print driver names must match.  If you notice the name of the printer driver that uses XP is a name different from the one that is installed when you plug in the device on the Windows 7 computer.  This is just my assumption, please correct me if this isn't the case.

  The real solution is to install a 32-bit driver on the XP machine that uses the same name that the 64-bit driver and share a printer using this driver or find a 64-bit driver that uses the same name as the 32-bit driver installed on XP and install the driver on XP.

  Explorer

  Explorer (explorer.exe) is the program that is the start menu and taskbar, windows folder and the office (which is a folder window).

   

  To see if a fix is available

  In Control Panel (and select Classic discovered in the left pane) select reports on the problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click of your error and choose check for the Solution.

  You can also right-click and choose Details for more information. Post these details here. The name of the Module fault is important information.

  If the problem affects Panel press the Windows key + R and type wercon (or type it at a command prompt).

   

  Close the browser and start a command prompt

  • Close Windows Explorer
  • Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator.
  • Click Start. Ctrl + Shift + Right-click on an empty spot (just above the power of buttons is one place) then Exit Explorer.
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager.
  • Control all processes to explore are closed. On the process tab select explore and right-click and choose end process, repeat if more of an Explorer in the list.

  Then to restart the Explorer after trying all of the following

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
  • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and enter explorer
   

  If you cannot start the Explorer at all

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
  • Under the processes tab, click Show processes from all users to elevate to administrator
  • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and type cmd

There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.

  You will need to either buy a version authentic retail Windows XP, with its key sales, to a true scource or visit the site of laptop manufacturers, support for your model and see what versions of win are taken care of, then buy a commercial version of this o/s.

  The key on the base of the laptop is the recovery key that requires that the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer.

  You could phone manufacturers to support to see if they have the origonal recovery cd send you, for which it maybe a small fee.
