  Since installing Firefox 9.0.1 YESTERDAY evening on my iMac, which is running OSX v. 10.5.8, Firefox hangs now every few minutes.   This is a problem caused by Symantec do not receive an update pretty quickly. They said that an update is due at the end of October, so I hope that is soon.

  I always recommend use you the most recent and and an updated version of Firefox. This ensures you get the new features as well as all stability and security fixes.

  On the installation of an earlier version, if you want to prevent the update of Firefox, type Subject: preferences #advanced in the address bar and click on Update. Here you will find options to disable updates to update, but as mentioned, this is not recommended.

  I have reviewed your Adobe ID (email address) you used to post here and did not find any Adobe Creative Cloud subscription on it.

  "View Previous Versions" option appears only that if you have a purchased subscription, in the case of a trial it will not give you an option to install a previous versions through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  If you want to use a trial of an old version of Adobe apps, please do so from the link below:

  Not sure that Alfred's, but it's just an Applescript script and it would not cause Mail to be planted.

  However, when running through all the messages, it is possible Mail database has been corrupted and it crashes because of this.

  I'll probably get anything out of the accident report, but others might.

  My first instinct would be to rebuild the mailbox. Because you can't do that with him crashing, you can simply delete the databases and it will rebuild them.

  Navigate to this folder:

  ~/Library/Mail/v3/MailData/

  You can either manually through the files, or copy the full path and paste it into go the folder in the menu go to the Finder.

  Remove the envelope Index files. Open Mail and see if it works well.

  When you reinstall Windows correctly, you start from the CD. Is it
  what you were doing?

  If so, the installation starts formatting the disk for you, then all the
  your files are gone.

  And by the way, reinstalling Windows due to an infection by the virus is
  almost always way exaggerated. There are several very good anti-virus
  programs that could probably removed the virus for you.
