I just bought a new computer phone n want to spend all my outlook folders to the new unit. How can I do

Put the .pst file from your old machine on a USB key with sufficient capacity or burn it to a CD - R. Copy the .pst to your new computer. Place it in your directory My Documents.

Open Outlook on the new computer and set up your email accounts. Get the settings from the server of your Internet service provider's Web site if you do not know. There is usually a tutorial to set up different email clients.

MVP Hal Hostetler:

1. When you copy the. Your old HD to the new PST file, place it in a folder where it will NOT overwrite any existing. PST files; crush one. PST file that is in use can cause profile corruption.

2 should NEVER use Outlook Import and export functions with. PST files. This feature is broken and has been for some time.  It often helps translates into corruption of the profiles, the more you lose the following data:

1. custom Forms
2 custom views
3. links between contacts and activities
4 receipt dates on mail
5 birthdays and other events in the calendar
6. journal connections
7. distribution lists

All you need to do is open Outlook on the new machine, go into "file |" Open | Outlook data file ", browse to your old." PST, and then click OK.  You now have access to all your old data. You can do this. Default PST file and continue to use it, or drag and drop its content in the new 2007 Outlook created during installation. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
