  Calls from this account isn't Skype and this account is now blocked.

  It is simply one of the many scams that are doing the tour.

  Unless you have a prepaid support contract with Microsoft, then Microsoft will never contact you by phone, mail or e-mail about problems with your PC. You did while refusing to allow him access to your PC. All they want to do is to have access to your PC, so they can steal personal data (banking etc.) on your part.

When I asked how I could be sure who they were they led me to a screen with a ref to no error report. and he cites correctly for me. When I was asked to sign up for control of my computer for them to correct these errors, I refused and hung up. What happens with all those errors that we report to microsoft when our computers generate the error reports and how these appellants knew my error report reference.

When I asked him who he was with, he says 'Windows Web Support.'  He said that Windows was trying to update my computer and has not been able to access my computer while he needed me to go to my computer and follow a few easy steps, it is willingly to guide me through to solve the problem.  I told him that he was wrong that my computer had just updated during the night last night and it was up to date as I check it every day.  I asked him who he was trying to communicate with and he said ' You! I asked him to provide the name of the person he was looking for and he said that he could not because of privacy. He asked me to give him my name and it would confirm.  I did a name Joseph Blough, (but my friends call me Joe) and he said that was the name of the account.  Joe Blow?  Yes agree India Phisherman mister!

  They are not Microsoft partners and your refusal was very wise.

  It's a scam and with various names and phone numbers, is

  It's probably a SCAM.  Do not call these numbers.  Force Quit Safari and reopen it by holding down the SHIFT key.
