I just to authorize a new computer on my iTunes account but it won't play my songs.

Try to use Ctrl + B to activate so hidden menu bar, and then use Edit > Preferences > reading and look at the entry for Play Audio to help. This should normally be set to Sound live or Session Windows Audio. Change to the other setting can sometimes help.

Otherwise see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates, tear down everything and reinstall.
