  You may be able to do it with an add-on. Looking for a screenshot or screenshot @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ or via Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons, the search box at the top right will give you many different choices of different features. Please go through the comments, ratings, help and FAQ before installing. Once installed, the extension will be listed in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons > Extensions (left).   Just go in the Panel. Programs and features and then click on the left of "view installed updates" and find Windows Internet Explorer 9, and then you can uninstall it.  You should know that it is installed automatically via Windows Update, so you'll need to keep it to be reinstalled.  I think you can go Windows Update manually, and then it will ask you, then you can't deny it there and it should stick.

  Whenever I open a Windows Explorer window, the preview window to adapt is questionable.  It is anchored on the right side of the window.  Sometimes it's fine, other times, it covers more important data like date/time and file size.  If I have it full screen on my wide screen, everything is great, but when I throw it in my smaller screen, everything must shrink.  Rather than shrink the preview pane, it allows the preview pane cover the most important areas.

  When the iPhone is connected and Photos opens, select iPhone in sideba of the windowr of Photos. Then, uncheck the option 'Open for this iPhone Photos' below the toolbar.  Do this for all your iPhones. The hook should be unmarked for each device individually.
