Hi Peter,.
Yes, you can use the same product key when reinstalling windows.
Note: If you are facing a problem while activating, I recommend you contact the factory system since you are using an OEM computer.

Can I reinstall Windows vista 64 bit with a product key.
Original title: Switch system
I have a 64-bit Windows license and the product code on my computer. Caused by a virus I took it to a repair store. Back in the Properties section it now shows as a 32-bit system and is included in the new product code the letters OEM. Can I reinstall the original 64 bit system using the product code? If I do I risk reinfecting my system with the virus? It is common for repair shops to install another operating system?

Choose the option "activate phone".
Stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.

1 What is OA in the license tag
2. is it possible to install the OS [Home premium] 64-bit with the same key.Hi adil13,
Adding to reply TrekDozer,
1 original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Activation is also known under the name of OA. It's basically OEM activation of basic input/output system (BIOS) - which means that they have already activated and you don't need to enter the key and activate yourself.
2. you will only be able to activate a copy of Windows 7 with the number of product key used for 64-bit or 32-bit version at the same time, not both. It will allow only a copy installed with him to be activated. If you try to do it on both versions 32/64-bit, you will probably get the message that your product key is already in use or The Windows 7 product key you typed is invalid for activation .
I hope this helps!
Kind regards

Just upgraded my computer asus laptop k55a - win 7 Home premium pre-installed - for win 7 pro, using anytime upgrade. The computer was purchased about 2-3 years ago.
What intrigues me is that he never asked me for a win 7 pro key. I activated windows and thought he would ask me at least during activation, but no. Not that I have a problem with it, but, why is this?
It bothers me that I do not understand the process. If I knew more I would have done things a lot differently, as do not go to any installed on other partitions etc. That came with a lot of trouble.
With the help of the Express Upgrade Wizard does not prompt you for a product key because its all made the Internet. You should have been sent the product key in case you need to reinstall.

Windows XP Home edition has crashed - how to return WXP and use with the product key?
Hello. I bought an Equium L20 last year and after 1 year my windows crashed due to a virus. I want to know how to get a real windows xp OS because the product under my laptop key is always saved for me and is a legitimate product but I can't get windows because it was obviously preinstalled and no CD was given to me with the package.
How can I get back Windows to use with my product key on my WIN sticker below my laptop.
Hello
First of all, it is very strange that recovery CD is not delivered with your laptop. It's hard to believe, but anything is possible. As you know after buying a new product, it is very important to check all orders sent with it and if something is missing, you must call the local as soon as possible and not to wait a year.
Sorry but this key code belongs to original recovery image and you can't use it with every installation of Windows XP Home edition CD. In your case, there are two options:
-You can buy the CD of facilities Microsoft original WXP (with the key correctly code) or
-Contact the partner of service allowed in your country and order the new CD from recovery for your laptop model. All that s!
Bye and good luck!

install windows with the product key
someone I gifted an old laptop with a lot of things about what I don't want and stuff I want is missing. I would like to know how to re - install windows on the laptop with the product key on the back of my laptop.
or, even better, if someone could find me a way to get a disk to restore to factory without purchasing information, which would be awsome.
I thank you for your time and have a good day.
If the laptop is one of the well known brands, he may well have a restore partition. If you do not have a manual to the user of this computer, then go to the manufacturers website and look for the documentation. At the very least, you should be able to find information about how to restore the laptop from the recovery partition.
If the restore partition has been decimated, the manufacturer may still have available for a nominal cost of installation diskettes.

How identify which windows Vista worm was installed with the product key
I have a laptop that someone put windows XP on it. It came factory thew with Windows Vista and has the product key on the bottom of the laptop. But I don't know which Ver of Vista the key code to go with. I want to get the right NVA and install it. Is there a way to know which version of windows Vista to go popular with the product key code.
Thank you
Mike
You can't say the product key. If you use an Installation of Vista genuine disc it will install its own version to know the product key when you are prompted to enter (all versions of the same size of the bit are included on the authentic disc).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Is it possible for me to install Local DVD retailer with the product key?
Original title: lost my product key.
Hello everyone.
2 years ago, I bought a Podium with a PC attached from a local retailer. He gave me a Windows 7 Pro Sp1 32 - Bit DSP OEI DVD 611 and the Podium and Win 7 was already installed on it. I have not found any key on or in the DVD box. No sticker on the PC or the Podium. He charged me $ 175, I'm from India up to 10 200 /-rupees for the DVD. Now I have to install this DVD on the Podium, or at least on my laptop. Is it possible for me to install this DVD with the product key or what should I do?
Thank you.
MS sells more than winxp or win7, you will only be able to buy peoples who have old stock or used, and it easily gives a copies pirated / illegal.
The keys are not sold on their own, but only with the installation media.
