If the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 10 becomes blocked or unresponsive to 99%, wait at least 4 to 7 hours. If the installation program does not progress, close the wizard and restart your computer. • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.

  • Can not find to re-setup disk for Windows XP Professional

Hello... I know there have been similar questions, but... My laptop Dell what inspiron 6000 has worked well with Windows XP Professional for three years - until, of course, the extended warranty has expired. A bad cluster in my hard disk was forcing me to have the hard drive replaced. I could find no longer reinstall drive came with the laptop and one installed the techie seems to be a trial version for 30 days. I borrowed a disc of relocation from a friend, but it was rejected because it was an older version of professional that was on my computer. I contacted Dell, but I was told there was nothing they could do. It is impossible (at least it was for me) to get a response from Microsoft, much less a solution.

Dell (or Microsoft) is not a means to check that it is the computer that I bought and all I want to do is get a license key for this computer from my serial number or the Express Service Code, or other?

I wouldn't spend more money in order to get Windows XP Professional re-installed.

    Suggestions?  Thank you!

  • Try to mirror a disk with Windows 7 Professional

I would like to mirror an external drive with a second external dive.  I can't find documentation on how to accomplish this task.  The main drive is configured as dynamic with a simple partition and it contains data.  I tried different configurations of the mirror planned but none seem "ungrey" option to add a mirror on the main disk drive.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.
What more frustrating, it is only while creating an interlaced together in place is documented, mirroring doesn't seem to be.

    Hi Kfrey,

    Connect to the remote computer

    1. connect you as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.

    2. click on start and then click Control Panel. Click performance and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools and then double-click computer management.

    3. right click on the (Local) computer management and then click on connect to another computer.

    4. click on another computer, type the name of the computer to which you want to connect, and then click OK. Or, click Browse to locate the computer, and then click OK twice.

The computer from the remote computer management window is displayed. Expand storage (if it is not already expanded) and then click Disk Management.

Create a mirrored on the remote computer Volume

    1. in the disk management window, right-click on the space unallocated on one of the dynamic disks in which you want to create the volume mirrored and then click New Volume.

    2. in the new Volume Wizard, click Next.

    3. click on the mirrored volume, and then click Next.

    4. under all available dynamic disks, click the disk in which you want to host the mirror, and then click Add. Verify that the disks in which you want to create a mirrored volume are listed in the selected dynamic disks box.

    5. in the size box, specify the amount of unallocated disk space to use for the volume, and then click Next.

6 assign a drive letter or path, and then click Next.

    7. set the options for formatting that you want to use, and then click Next.

    8. check that the options that you selected are correct, and then click Finish. The mirrored volume is created and appears in the dynamic disks in the disk management window.

9 leave the management of the disks on the remote computer.

  • Genuine Windows 7 Professional, but will not turn on

    Good day to you all.

I recently bought a desktop PC (HP Prodesk 490 G2 Mt. I say this in case someone else has a similar problem. Reinstall operating system is after all something not so rare and I think it's something I should easily be able to do.) and the first thing I decided to do was to get rid of all the HP software with which it is preinstalled. It comes with windows 7 Professional (64) already on the machine without any found sticker. After cleaning a product key by using a Produkey and ISO burning OK from Digital River, I did a clean reinstall, deleted all the data of origin and partitioned the drive differently depending on my needs. I stupidly is no recovery disc, because I thought what I'm doing is good - I have already experience with reinstalling windows on another computer after all. Needless to say that the installation went well, but now I see a message "2 days before automatic activation. Activate windows now"in the system. When I try to do, window saying: "the Windows 7 Professional product key you typed is invalid for activation" appears, still give me 3 options: buy a new product key online, type a different product key, Contact Microsoft to resolve this issue.

Go try to retype the key until the 'Type a different product key' gives me the error 0xc004e003

It is not also give me the option to activate by phone. Even when I type "slui 4" in the start menu, just the 3 options pop up...

Now I've been googling and browsing on several forums, need help for two days, but so far nothing... Indeed, I met several interesting information. As the company BIOS, OEM SLP and buch of shady approaches including get the OEM HP certificate and using the command prompt to apply it.

So now I am trying to activate Windows 7 Professional on the same machine, it is preinstalled on (I've only upgraded the RAM, did not touch any other material), but I'll have the problems mentioned above. The office also comes with installation disk Windows 8.1 I would avoid having to use and a driver of HP recovery DVDs (Contains software and drivers are already installed. To reinstall the software and repair only. Drivers are included for Windows 8.1)

    It's now my Diag:

I googled the product key. I know a million other people have the same one, I get this. I get that Windows wants to just check with the BIOS to see if it is supposed to be on this machine, and should be. But why it does not work?

    Please... Can someone help me?

Good all that, I fixed it. After some research, I came miraculously on a thread here someone having to recommend this in one of the answers: http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-microsoft-windows-and-office/download-microsoft-windows/windows-7-sp1-iso-download/

    And it worked!

In the end, I suppose that my quest was going to learn what type of license that I have in my computer and knowing what to look for some more luck. So if anyone is looking for answers for days and cleaning keeps more data, but the real answer guard doesn't slip them, don't worry. You have found here.

EDIT: So bad I can not mark my post as an answer, now, no one will find it...

I am the author of this Web site; I have been handling sections of Windows Setup on the Dell Community for some time. My guide that I know is one of the only guides who ask for any new installation of Windows 7 Professional with downgrade to Windows 8.1 Professional OEM license rights. Not having not a Windows 7 Professional COA has baffled some users when you try to reinstall.

We asked a long time ago (2009) on the community of Dell for the reinstallation of Windows Dell .isos DVD unfortunately Dell not allow these sub OEM license... Only Microsoft or Digital River could provide a download link to a .iso for Windows 7 and Windows 7 is to reach the end of mainstream support I doubt there will be more updated .isos to update now.

Using the file cert Dell or HP with the retail (provided by Microsoft) media gives a Setup identical to the OEM installation (with the exception of superficial logos in system properties). Unfortunately my guides only completely covers the systems Dell and HP completely (for other OEMs, it must acquire the files cert in advance because I do not have).

  • Purchased a product key for Windows 7 Professional, but you must enter a different product key activation

My laptop came with a Windows 7 Basic program trial and the trial ended so I bought a product key for Windows 7 Professional, because I got a discount on that student. When I try to activate it, it says I need to enter the product key for what I already use but I don't know the key to it. What am I doing here? Do I have to buy a product key for my Windows 7 original also?

Windows 7 Home Basic Edition is not a trial.

Is the Windows 7 Professional a full, level or Express upgrade?

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

Hi all! Why when I need to start installing my windows 7 ultimate or proffessional 64-bit using DVD he reached on the expansion of scene files and gives a error code 80070017 0 x and a text saying corrupt file. Earlier, but he did not give this type of error but since I increased my 6 GB RAM it gives this error code during Installation. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance...

If you have recently installed all new RAM modules, remove them and try to install the new. If the installation is successful, you can reinstall the additional RAM.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.
