  If you click view, toolbars, then uncheck the 'Menu Bar', you get the Firefox back button?

  To turn on private browsing, you can click on the Firefox button, then 'start private browsing' or press Control, Shift, and P keys all at the same time on your keyboard.

• Firefox Developer Edition constantly asks me to update

  I use Firefox Developer Edition 37.0a2 and every time you start the browser is asking me to upgrade to version 37.0a2. Even when I click on update, it tries to connect to the server and it's the only thing I see.

  I run firefox in safe mode. The result is the same.
  I copied my old profile of 35 for firefox 37.0a2 firefox. Is there a file with the name of the version of firefox or something else is causing this error?

  I think that put Aurora on day before I turned off my computer. When I started again, Firefox Developer Edition appeared in place of the Aurora. My favorite and addons all disappeared.

  You get the orange Firefox menu button when the menu bar is hidden.

  The developer edition of Firefox can use the same profile as the version of Firefox.
  The version TO use a special 'dev-edition-by default' profile, but you can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

  I get this error message when you try to use an older add-on. I went to the Developer edition, because I couldn't run the add-on in regular Firefox. It was inconsistent, and I could force is no longer that it is running in Firefox.

  No need to answer that.

  As the need for a fix was urgent enough (for me), I went to the browser PaleMoon. It works very well with a few extensions I need to use.

  After the last update 41.0a2 (2015-07-26), the 'Close' icon for the tab 'active' is buggy.

  I have the same problem - hold down ALT isn't an intuative solution. Make a right click on the top of the top bar should provide a function "restore menu bar.

  You can add - no.-distance to the command line to open another instance of Firefox with its own profile and run multiple instances of Firefox at the same time.
