    Copy and paste a file

    When you copy and paste a file, you make a copy of the original file that you can then modify independently of the original file.     I just buy After Effects CS5. I also bought a new Mac to run it. So far so good.

    Now, this new Mac is not will not be connected to the internet. I have another computer, (the latter, a PC), that I use for all my activities on the internet. It's my "sacrificial" computer, and I had to wipe and reinstall its content several times over the years, due to the viral and other attacks. I don't want to expose my new Mac than.

    So, before you install the software on my new Mac, I thought I just check and make sure that I would be able to activate the programme through this PC, even if the software is actually installed on the other computer, the Mac. I was able to do this when I bought Elements7 first and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. In fact, I installed these programs on a PC that is not connected to the Net, copied the number that has been generated on this computer, when it has been installed and came back to this computer and concluded that the number of activation of the Adobe site page. This has generated an activation key, then I went back to the other PC and entered. This active process my software. Yes, it was a bit of going and coming, but much better to put my expensive dedicated graphics computer in danger by putting it online in the minefield that is the Internet.

    But now I find that I don't have this option with After Effects CS5. Why customers who buy expensive products Adobe should be forced to run that risk?

    Of course, I can temporarily set up my new Mac on my home network and then disable permanently the connection as soon as I activated my software, but what happens if I pick up a bunch of garbage of the Internet in the process? To protect your computer during this period, I have to install another copy of virus protection, and that means paying for it, because my Norton has already used up to its limit of installation. So it's the extra expense and exposure to risk.

    Well, question desperate - y at - it an option under any circumstances to an owner legitimate a legitimate CS5 copy to activate it without the very real possibility of corrupting a computer brand new?

    As far as I know - not. so you will have to swallow the pill. However, no offense, I think you overstate your case. I certainly do not believe in the myth of the impenetrable Mac, but most of the vulnerabilities are not in the kernel, but instead of Safari, iTunes etc... So none of them are involved, open a few HTTP ports for activation is a minor thing and "current affairs". You can even restrict it so it only connects to the Adobe servers, so IMO it's really not a big deal.

    You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

My computer is running VERY slowly, lagging behind, or even on an occasional basis freezes and stops when I'm on the net. Computer function uses only the net works fine until a program I use try to use Windows Explorer. Is there a difference between Explorer Windows and Internet Exporer and is there a way to check this, other than the usual scans. I have McAfee and AVG, as well as malicious software running on a schedule and they are still running in the background, constantly analyzes the sites.

    I am at a total loss here. I use secure sites (https rather than just http) when the choice and do not use sites that McAfee or AVG is marked as dangerous. It worries me that I have a lot of things, such a Bank, online and not worry that someone could get information. I recently also maually run the two scan disk and Defrag but they can also be programmed to run on a schedule. The model is NOT saved. When I tried ot create a backup disk, when I first bought the model, something has gone wrong, and he refused to back up then reset would mean a great loss of material. If it's a virus, worm, etc., it is done gradually and I'm not sure that a restart of the plant would be useful it is in IE or Windows Explorer (if there is a difference).

    I like do blankets in After Effects that great look at the resolution of the retina, the only problem is that they do not work on iPad 1024 x 768. An error pops up.

    Is there a way to 'video' animation covers which will work on the regular retina and iPad without having to create and filigree a "HD" and "SD" for each issue of your magazine?

    Just make a video at the lower resolution SD and use it. Any video you produce in "HD" will be so big in your folio it make unbearable time for your readers to download.

  • Why I have to restart my brand new monster Vista 64 machine whenever I want to play a game online?

    I have a new brand, solid as a rock, high-end, cry of monster machine, fresh out of the box, fully updated with all updates from MS:
    Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz
    12 GB DDR3 RAM
    2 TB of hard drive space
    64-bit Edition of Windows Vista Home premium.
    2 x Nvidia 295 in SLI

    I can do pretty much everything on this subject with the results you expect.  I can surf the web at lightning speed (assuming I'm not using IE8, who remember using NETSCAPE ago 15 years on a 14.4 modem), I can play any game I want with amazing performance.

    So why can't play ANY game online without first restarting my PC?
    I say play... City of Heroes for 12 hours or 12 minutes.  Disconnect me, go to sleep and the next day... No.  It does not connect to the DBserver.  I load the battle field (ANY of the battlefield series) and cannot update the list of servers.  I have a strong connection to rock, I can connect to ANY game online with all 4 of my installations of XP without problem (Yes, I mean when the Vista machine does not work on one game from all others work with this game without problem) The ONLY fix I have found is to restart the Vista Machine... single... time... I want to play an online game.

    I found the article on article on the post on the blog that talks about Vista incompatible nature with online games, including of Microsofts OWN games online.  The only answer I found Microsoft has been, and I am paraphrasing here "is not as bad as everyone say it's.

    Explanations?  Solutions?

    Thank you for posting.  The first thing is to check the power save options of your NIC (Ethernet card) in the Device Manager and make sure that it is configured to not allow.  I think that your NIC could go into powere saving mode.  I suggest you check the settings of your router and firewall.  Make sure that the appropriate ports are opened for the games.   Could also include the anti-anti-virus/firewall software you are using.

  • Whenever I want to connect to video call on Skype - I get this msg "a problem of breaking this program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the pragram and inform you is a solution available." pls help

    My problem is with SKype - I can connect just fine without webcam vidoe - but every time that I conect with video call - I am disconnected without any reason

    I tried to install the latest version of windows and Skype - check the status of my camera - it works and I was able to capture images.

    I don't know what I can do

    Please help - I live far from my family and it's the only way to communicate and see!

    It is also possible that some third party software installed on the computer are in conflict with the video call in Skype software.
    You can check if it works very well in a clean boot state.
