  Sassyme, you can useRegedi, start / search / Regedit, then click on it.  You can use change weekend / moy.  Then you can remove all entries that you find.  After deleting these entries, change / Find Next.  This, until what said you that there are no more entries.  I suggest you back up the registry before making any changes.

  How to backup your data in Vista is to go to where your data is stored (documents, music, etc.) > right click on what you want to record > place your mouse cursor on send to > have a Memory Stick or USB hard drive connected > Send your data to that.

  Go to Windows 8/8.1 > open the Explorer file in the bar of > have plugged USB > copy the respective folders data files there.

  It's the old way to transfer data between different operating systems, or to make a backup in your case
