  I do not understand your question.  Asked how the space has been used on your C: drive and you answered 60 GB.  Now you say your PARTITION C: is 60 GB with only 20 GB used?  I really don't understand what you're so confused.  It's simple arithmetic grade 3rd.  What is space you USED on the C: drive, that multiply by 0.7 to obtain the amount of space will be used on your backup disk after compression.  Divide this number by 4.7 and round.  That's how many DVDs you'll need if you insist on the use of DVDs for backup.  Then

  (1) If you are using 60 GB, the answer is (60 x.7) / 4.7 = 8.936.  I rounded up to 9 and added 1 just to be sure.

  (2) If you use only 20 GB, the answer is (20 x.7) / 4.7 = 2.97 rounded up to 3.  Add 1 and get 4.

  If you use only 20 GB, I am very surprised, because almost any important installation of Windows 7 is going to take more than 20 GB.

  All of this assumes that you do NOT use the Windows backup and restore program, but one that I recommended.  When I used the windows one, the results were several times the space that I used on my C: partition.

• Stupid question #29549: export 1080i on DVD - how to 'save' resolution/No than pixelated zooms

  Hi This is actually as a Pro, but I can't seem to find a forum for...

  So I was doing some stuff with 1080i AVCHD camcorders and producing DVD (480 p) out of them.  I followed a workflow of creating a project with an AVCHD 1080i preset normal, do my editing, then export to DVD MPEG-2 again etc.  DVDs are great!  Unless of course I Zoom (stretch) in the first.  But the thing is - he should look always good if I did it 'right', correct?  I just "throw" all this extra data when I export to DVD in any case.  If I did my initial set-up in a setting of 853 x 480 and then considerably puzzled my frames, so I could do 'real' zooms (unstretch) without streching my pixels and pixelation issue.  I'm not crazy here on the right, there must be a way to do it correctly?

  long story short, I need to recover my Qosmio X 500 - 121 and created recovery DVD with the tools of Toshiba. Everything was fine, the control of the DVDs showed no error so I started to recover my system. Well the recovery failed after the removal of my records on the file 2nd of the second DVD.

  As I can not boot my system more (missing MBR) and having no working recovery DVDs I'm kind of stuck.

  I looked through the support section of the toshiba site, but found nothing. Does anyone know if or where I can download so I can burn another DVD that works if all goes well.

  Recovery image is not downloadable, and can not be installed without the recovery DVDs. You must order the new recovery disc.

  One question; did you find a .exe file in the downloaded folder?

  I suggest that you copy the video from the CD on the hard drive of the computer and then import it to create DVDs. Browse the CD and locate the video, copy it to your disk (computer) hard, and then try to import.
