  I have a HP m8034n pc with a tuner Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo.  The pc came with Vista and Windows media center worked great just with the tv tuner.  I upgraded to Windows 7, December 2 and fail to put in place my tv with WMC tuner.  The recorded shows that I had before the upgrade to Windows 7 appear and play without problem in WMC. I used the hardware diagnostic tool that is installed on my pc to control the Tuner, and during the test, I can see fine TV stations.  This unit is compatible according to microsoft Windows 7. I have the latest driver and tried to uninstall and reinstall. I ran Windows Update and everything is up-to-date. After that WMC checks tuners, it says:

  I don't know what happened, I left my PC off overnight and planned reformatting today. But I decided to give him another chance. Instead of saying the tuner was not available.   Some people have persevered with contact support via the link on the MS download site and have finally received the download links temporary for an English version.  [You will find these discussions if you looking for the Korean forum as most people in your situation included that word in their title of the question.  I don't remember one of these threads containing any additional info that would be of no use to you.]

  If that does not appeal to you & you still cannot find your original installation disks, then buy a disc-relocation

  1. Amazon now stock reinstallation DVD for just a quid [the link is for their UK site site American stocks also to them].
  2. These seem to be exactly what they claim they do not have a product key and that they are specifically described as being for reassembly only - in other words, they are not an attempt to distribute pirated Windows.
  3. You must use your own product key for activation.
  4. Make sure order you Windows 7 edition {Home Premium etc.} that is identified on your certificate of authenticity [the label that contains your product key].
  5. Some of the sellers provide 32 bit and 64 bit DVD, while others provide one or the other.  So make sure you order the right kind.
  6. These discs can do everything what a system repair disc can do, so you'll not need to make a separately.

  My problem is the opposite of the OP, but the result is the same. Years of the use of previous versions of Firefox have conditioned me to open links in a new tab by selecting the second choice of right click menu without looking. After a week of trying to readjust in places reversed 'Open link in a new window' and "Open link in a new tab", I'm always unintentionally opening new windows instead of tabs every time after time. The point is, why should I have to adjust (or need a plugin external to solve your problem). YOU TEACHES ME HOW to DO THIS WAY, then why you changed it? Do you think that the reversal is most effective? A task force of new users select the new range? Do you have a taste of trial with Pepsi? Have you adopted Microsoft 'we know what you want better than you' policy? People in the drive of England on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right. Maybe it's actually a better way to do it. Maybe we should just rethink all cars new American model in this way and reverse all the signs from one day to the next without any warning - no ads, no choice, do it just because the engineers decided that it is better.   I found that the ASK toolbar is the culprit. I have no recollection of ever install Ask and wanted not just her in any case. Withdrawal fixed the problem.
