  This error comes usually when you move the adobe folder to the other location on root drive and try to update the application. Uninstall the application and delete all files from adobe. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates.

It downloads fine, but when I try to open the application, I get a message saying: "an internal error has occurred" and "could not create the required folder: / users/celinserbo/library/application support/adobe/lightroom/develop presets." I tried disconnecting and then signing unistalling the app and back in and resettlement. nothing seems to work. any help would be appreciated.

  Cannot create the folder means that you don't have WRITE permission for this folder. Then... change your permissions.

  However, I was still having problems to update Pixel Bender Toolkit 2.5.  It turns out that it is a known problem with a fix. I did it and it worked.

  Just thought I would add that in case someone else was always a problem.
