Original title: connection problem

I'm unable to access my computer (windows 8) with my microsoft account. The password works for the connection to outlook on the internet, but not the computer.

The message I get when trying to connect is simply that I cannot connect you at this time and that I should follow a link to reset the password - what I've done without result. The computer is connected to the internet.

I'm sorry, but you will need a Windows 9 x / ME drive to provide during the XP installation from the XP disc is a version upgrade. There is no way around that. See if you can find a friend with an older operating system disk (not a recovery disk) to support qualification. Otherwise, you would need to buy the full version (not upgrade) of XP to install on the computer. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • HP Photosmart 6510 series connects to the network and Internet, but not the computer.

    Hey all,.

I have a desktop H8-1228 and 6510 e - printer.  I got both products at the same time.  I did the initial installation, and everything worked perfectly.  I was able to print of my HP Touchpad (the printer was on the floor and my Touchpad was down.).  Recently, I made a trip for two weeks.  I turned off the printer.  This seems to have been a mistake.  Now, he will only contact my network and Internet, but not the computer.  The Setup program keeps telling me that it is 'Impossible to find the printer' and that he wants me to check the IP address of the printer.  I did this many times by printing the HP's Configuration Page from the printer screen.  I also used Windows "Add a printer" without success.

I have installed and uninstalled the software several times; every time that remove the icon of the printer and the Standard TCP/IP port in the "Devices and printers" section in Control Panel.  A few minutes earlier, I used Regedit to delete any reference to the series of HP Photosmart 6510 in the registry, believing that it could help my situation.  There can be no. :-(  I did the installation with the same problems that I had all the other times that I tried to install it.

No help from you the printer experts will be greatly appreciated.  I'm not a novice as you can see.  This situation, however, launched my posterior. :-))

    Hi old_geekster,

You may want to enable disable all startup programs in msconfig until you are able to access the Web integrated printer server. It seems that there is something in the communication with the printer's operating system blocking. It will most likely software firewall or security related.

HP has designed a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and solves many problems of printing, scanning and connectivity: The HP Print and Scan doctor. HP recommend you to download and install Print and scan doctor no matter what time you need to solve a problem with your HP printer from the link below.

  • Connected to internet but not able to access Web sites

    Hello

I have a Dell Latitude E5410 using Windows 7 ultimate with IE 8

The laptop seems to be connected to the internet but not able to browse any websites. I checked with IE, Google chrome, firefox as well.

I disabled the proxy settings in the LAN to internet options, always the same question.

Reset settings tcp/ip so using winsock reset, reinstalled the drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled browsers and still the same issue.

restored windows in the last working restore point, still the same problem.

scanned with the Microsoft Malware removal tool, as well as with both windows defender and no suspects were found.

Tried all most all the steps online to reset the log ip so also the steps in msconfig that comes as a response to this community, but still the same issue.

The address sometimes bar said as invalid address and take the url as http:///

Checked the IP settings and able to ping both Web sites and also windows taking updates.

The only issue is not able to navigate.

What else can I do to solve the problem, with about reinstalling windows?

    Kind regards

    Of Shaik

This means generally that you are connected to your network, but not the Internet.

If you use a wireless connection, this may mean the wireless network password which is stored in your computer's a mismatch with the router.  Try to connect with a cable.  Try to reset the password of your router wireless and rename your network.

It is also quite possible that you have no connection to your Internet service provider.  Restart your modem and your router if you have separated.

If the router is separated, try to connect with a cable directly to the modem.

When you install the cloud on a computer, the use of the programs is related to the Adobe ID used for installation

Then use the cloud with a different ID, you need to disconnect from your personal account and sign in to your professional account to install and use

If you would eventually use only the ID of your work on your work computer, it would probably be best to completely remove your personal ID and Cloud programs before you install using your work ID.

  • Unable to join a homegroup Windows 7 with a network that spans a wireless bridge

I have two Windows 7 machines that are at the ends of the face of a wired LAN network which connects via a wireless bridge and I am unable to get Windows 7 machines on each side of the brdige to connect to a homegroup created across the bridge.  Perhaps to better illustrate what I mean, here's my network configuration:

    Wireless router:
Machine from Windows 7 1 (LAN wired to the router)
Windows XP machine (for LAN cable to the router)

Wireless Bridge (connect wirelessly to the wireless router):
Computer Windows 7 2 (LAN wired to the bridge)
PS3 (wired LAN to the bridge)
TV (cable LAN to the bridge)

I use the bridge wireless set up so that I can connect LAN devices wired to the wireless bridge so that they appear to be on the same local network as all other devices on the wireless router (stops to have at home and the bridge wire wireless allows me to expand the scope of all wireless devices I might have).  While all the machines can meet without a problem and I can't even set Windows Media Player to stream video to the PS3 and the TV through its capabilities of DLNA, Windows 7 network mapping server shows not the systems connected to the other end of the gateway wireless as being on the same network (although it shows them); so Windows 7 Homegroup does not see other machines as being on the same network.

The only thing I can think to do with limitations in TCP/IP regarding a wireless bridge, from the perspective of wireless router all connected to the wireless gateway devices appear to be a device (they all appear under the same physical MAC address as the device only "wireless" that connects to the network is the wireless bridge - who just happens to have three other devices connected to it) even if they are assigned to different (numbers) IP that are in the same subnet, etc.).  So I guess what I'm wondering Windows 7 has a limiation to recognise the devices connected via a wireless bridge?  Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a work around?

    Thank you.

I had this same problem (unable to connect to a Windows 7 homegroup) on Windows 7 (64-bit) PC behind a wireless bridge using a D-Link DAP-1522 to a D - Link DIR-655 residing on the main network.

The solution that worked for me was to allow for the "'wireless MAC CLONING ' with 'Source MAC = Auto" on the DAP-1522. "  It also had the beneficial effect of the side to fix a problem on PC behind the bridge where control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network card cannot display all the network devices.

  • Replace a copy of Windows 7 without C.O.A or disc. a copy of Windows 7 with a drive and the appeal docket.

    Hello

I just bought a computer with a copy on win 7-64 bit but no disk or the appeal record

I have a commercial version with two discs 32 & 64-bit, the appeal record which is not used and not activated.

I want to install my copy so I can reinstall if necessary.

I want to do it WITHOUT a format due to other gear that is on the disk hard drive which I want to keep - Win Office with no. disc either.

I'll be able to do this.

The Win Office software is a 'install x number of copies on computers with a single disk' type of product.

It should be simple, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Also, perhaps, there is a way of advertising just the tender without having to install the drive, I'm not sure.

You can only do this if your personal copy is the same edition installed on the computer, if not, you will need to either do an Express of the edition currently installed upgrading if the edition installed is less than the edition that you have or that you consider doing a custom installation.

How to make an Express Upgrade:

Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option to enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 edition when asked, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify its update of the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 your files, programs and settings retained.

(Please note that Anytime Upgrade only upgraded to a higher edition (Starter > Home Basic > Home Premium > Professional > ultimate).) You can not downgrade.

If it's the same edition, simply change the product key:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: slui.exe 3

    Press enter

Enter your product key, and then click next to activate via the Internet.

I'll be able to do this.

If the machine is already preinstalled with a copy of Windows 7 and its active, what really is the problem?

Why is it necessary to have the certificate of authenticity in hand? If the machine doesn't work and does what it's supposed to as expected and you can install your applications and use them, then you need not to worry about the COA.

The certificate of authenticity that normally found in the compartments of battery or memory of your laptop or at the bottom of the laptop chassis. If this is a desktop computer, you can look at the side or at the top.

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

  • Wireless laptop running Vista 32 and wired desktop under Vista 64 can access Internet, but not each other!

My laptop Vista 32 unreal access router and ping its own IP address, but no access to Vista 64-bit Wired Office with ping or try to access folders shared I place some months ago and used without problem until about 2 days ago. I recently did a restore of the laptop but it worked after that and I adjusted all the settings. I have Net bios over TCP/IP enabled on both machines. I have two machines on the workgroup and file sharing is enabled on both. Vista 64 desktop computer can access the Internet but can not access the shared folders that I put in this PC! I became a master browser errors on Vista 64 desktop until I changed the registry on the laptop off car with respect to the list of servers. I'm a computer technician with networking experience, but am confused on this one. There are so many problems over there near the mine, but they usually have xp machines trying to access Vista or vice-verse. In addition, they cannot access the Internet generally. If anyone out there has any intelligent suggestions I'm desperate, but know that I have this research completely so guess I did all the basic troubleshooting to save time you and me. Hey thanks for getting back to me, I wanted to let you know that I could solve the problem! I'm not sure excatly what the problem was, but I went and bought a fixed register a program so that I paid for, as you no doubt know the free just ruin your machine more than it is useful, well I ran that and restarted and BOOM! Now even if I can connect to each computer and the internet. I'm still not able to ping? Now when I say that this is not so much genral, the laptop I can ping any name of site Web and number but not the PC. On the PC I can ping its own IP address but not the router or laptop? But it has no bearing on anything so I anticipate leaving me well enough alone. I how ever to download a graphics professional ping program, but not to worried about it! Thank you so much for you help and if I need more help, I hope you are avalibale!

I tried to go and lync the domain account for the e-mail account used by the person to go to the app store on the other account, without success.
