  The audio tracks I have in my playlist in Windows Media Player (which is recorded as tiny .wpl file in my music folder Windows by default) cannot be burned to a DVD using Windows DVD Maker.

  In creation of Windows DVD, when I click on "Add of Items", I get a message saying "\Music\Playlists\myDVD.wpl is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported.

  An advise, please?

  Your video card is basic it is perfect for office 2D work which is what this laptop was designed for. It is not suitable for playing games and video chip does not respect the Sims 3 system requirements. There is nothing you can do about it.   I am having some problems with the Windows Media Player 11 on Vista. On my XP machine, when I discovered a video frame by frame, it works perfectly back and forth. However when I try to play the same video on my Vista machine, the button to the front of the image works perfectly fine but the previous image button takes video from 5 to 10 frames.   Thank you for posting.  I understand the problem you are having, but I do not understand why in the need for these features.  Depending on what you're trying to do, may be able to use Movie Maker instead of it you also has characteristics of the image by image.  If you could include that you are using this feature, because I can give you a good alternative or possible difficulty of deliverance.

• Windows Media Player 12 - Video DVD plays but the images are not displayed

  I have a DVD that we created with Adobe Encore.  It has a mixture of video and still images to a timeline.  I play this back on a new computer Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 12.  The DVD plays back fine until it reaches the fixed image on the timeline.  At that time the reading shows just the last frame of the video to the video portion.  The audio continues, but it does not show the image.  We tried multiple image formats, and nothing seems to work (.jpg, .tiff, .psd).  The video is very good reading but with CyberLink DVD player and on a standard TV/DVD player.

  Solved it myself:

  I deleted the Windows Media Player library database (= all files in the C:\Users\NAMEOFTHEUSER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media drive) - therefor I had to close all programs (all programs BB, the wmplayer and wmplayer network service). After the removal of the database, Windows Media Player has revamped its database and link BB finds the database.

  Method 1: I suggest you follow these steps and check.

  You can try to clear the database of Windows Media Player.

  To do this, follow these steps:

  Step 1

  a. exit Windows Media Player.

  b. for Windows Vista: click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then click OK.

  c. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

  Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  To enable or disable the Window Media Player, follow these steps:

  a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programsand then click Windows turn on or off features. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  b. develop media features , uncheck the box next to the Media Player functionality to remove Media Player. Click OK and restart the computer.

  c. turn on the player again by selecting the check box next to the feature of Media Player.
