• Chromebook 13s (Cb5-311) lose the screws...

  My School District has bought about 120 Acer Chromebook 13s in June of last year. During the year, we noticed that some were lacking in the envelope at the bottom screw. We had this problem before with another brand last year. After talking with other local school districts, this seems to be a big problem regarding Chromebooks (HP, Dell, Acer).

  We would like to get these screws replaced, but I can not Acer just send me replacements. They want me to send in each unit for repair (even under warranty it's crazy how it costs us to ship to the Acer ~$7/unit). I was wondering if anyone of you resourceful people out there know the size of the screws for this particular model?

• Pause the execution of a Vi

  Hello

  I'm making an aplication with two main Vi. The first Vi is responsible for the configuration of different instruments. On the other hand, the second Vi is responsible for the different measures of an electronic circuit.

  My problem is that I want to pause the first Vi when configurations were carried out then go to the second Vi and carry out measures. When the measurements were made, execution must return to the first Vi and continues from the point where the program has been suspended.

  I am trying to solve this problem with the queues and some time a loop to stay the execution, but it does not work properly.

  The following picture, I have attached the while loop. This loop communicates with the Vi second to check whether or not the measures are completed. But it is not working properly and I don't know why. My question is: this method is good to solve this problem or there is another method better than this? Or quite simply, the break of a Vi enforcement cannot be done.

As you can see the number of lines can be configured (sorry is in Spanish in the picture), which means that the space can be bigger than that.

  As you can see, I need two different screws to make this automazation. I've read tutorials on the state machine and I also looked at the model that is very useful and understandable. However, I don't see that this method can be used in a communication between two different screws. Certainly, I'm very confused and now I don't know that I have to do.

  There are several solutions for this. If you have a main executable (state machine), it may appear in the settings (your first picture) window and sends the settings as an output (or make adjustments to the main state machine and hide while the other is running). The main VI appears the window of measurement that uses the input parameters. Once the measurement is done, you save the file and return to the settings.

  As a note, you will probably need a lot more than 3 VI, to get a good program structured and modular, I'm guessing 50, fortunately it's simple to do.

  None of these functions are useful. You just need to duplicate screws as I mentioned and that are already in your code.

  

  All of this assumes that the instrument will allow both outputs being on at the same time. You can quickly verify this by trying to activate them manually.

• How can a VI both server and client?

  I'm new in LabView and I am trying to build a VI client and server using the TCP/IP protocol that runs in both computers. in my program I need of server and client screws to communicate with each other which means that I need the two screws to be server and client. I tried using a case structure, but it does not work. The only thing I have achieved is a normal client/server system, where the server sends a query and the customer responses. But I need the client to send requests too.i have attached my screws to this post. I would appriciate it if someone could help with this problem.

  I'm using labview 2015 to design a laser alignment system, using a contoller ag - uc2 and an optical mount piezo driven two webcams. The establishment, is that the webcams are positioned behind the mirrors, which are somewhat permeable, so the webcam will get a shot where the laser beam is pointed. The laser must be aligned manually first, and after that it is satisfied with the alignment, this program will be run once to run in the background. control the position of the laser a few times per minute to correct the thermal drift. After it is first of all, I would like the program to take maybe 10-15 images, to find a location to center of medium severity on each of the mirrors, then switching to compare new images of this center of gravity of the model. My problem is that I can't imagine a way to get a picture of model and have that info Reports to the next iteration of the while loop to the overall program be carried out. I have tried using the structures of the case, which, I imagine, will eventually be the solution, but it did not work as expected. I put the case structure to run based on the value of the indicator loop iteration of the main loop, and I got a while loop in there with registries to raise the center of gravity of this loop and store this information for the next loop to shift. I can see after running the program why my implementation does not work, but I don't know how I can design something that will have an average of several images. I think I should use learn and compare the model, but I don't know how I can convert a cluster (centroid) type of data appropriate for the model comparistion live if you have any suggestions for my existing code or want to offer a different approach, I appreciate it. Also let me know if you need any other screws included.

  In the past, when I had to switch between two 'modes', if you do, I used two consecutive loops while, one for the first mode and one for the second, or I would put Boolean register to indicate that, two modes, the loop was offset.  If you start in a mode, and then more later switch to another once and only once, then you can use a node 'OR' like a lock to power the old way, so the first true feed you of keeps it true until the next time that you run the VI and it returns false.

  I would also add that I looked your VI and the method that you use on average 10 images, while innovating, is usually not a great plan.  Instead of having 10 shift registers build an array of fixed size, just have a table in a shift register, add each new measure at the end and the VI means in the range of mathematics/statistics to calculate the average.

  In order to experience on the vibrations, I need to use screws of Suite Sound and Vibration, which was not purchased in my Institute. We had the license for LabVIEW 2009 SP1. Unfortunately, I have a VI file written in LabVIEW 2010 my partner. According to the records of view VI, there is a lack of following screws:

  -SVFA Power Spectrum.vi
  -Application Directory.vi
  -SVT FFT .vi spectrum (Mag-Phase)
  -Frequency response (Mag Phase) .vi SVT
  -SVFA amplitude and Phase Real and Imaginary.vi
  -SVL get spectrum subset.vi
  -SVT UFFT58 write.vi
  -SVT UFFT58 write record 6 vi
  -SVT HFFT58 close file.vi

  I would like to confirm if these screws are supplied in the detroit and Viration Suite or / and other toolkits. If all of them can be found in the following Sound and Vibration, what I have to do is to buy the offer away from NOR, is it not? How much should I pay for this Suite.

  On the other hand, if we upgrade from LabVIEW 2011 (which is said to be able to deal with better timer - for the function of data acquisition), how much in total so also buy us more Sound and Vibration 2011.

  All of these VI are included in the Suite Sound and Vibration, which means it's the only additional package that you would need to buy.  On the site OR in the States, the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite USD $4119 costs.  Since I'm an applications engineer, I'm not in a position where I can advise you on the price, and I am sorry to say that it will be easier for you to contact your engineers in sales in Germany (I guess you are in Germany).  You may have better luck calling into lines of support rather than by e-mail.
