  I have a Dell Vista Home Premium 32 bit computer.  On April 14, I tried to update some drivers, install a music player & even install Vista Service Pack 1.  Is Service Pack 1 bis new section?  I've had my computer for several years and I have automatic updates, so I was surprised when I turned on my computer on April 14, and a message came saying Windows was this important update & I wanted to install, I did.

  Anyway, between all the stuff I did that night I somehow totally messed up my computer.  When nothing would not properly work, I went up to the back & Food Center.  I used this at least a couple of times before without a problem.  This time however, there is no restore point of your choice except April 14.  Anything before that.  When I click on choose another restore point, nothing happened.  I tried to choose April 14 restore point but that didn't help.  Then, to really live things, I decided to restart my computer in Mode safe.  I will never use this option again.  Now I can't get into anything other than Safe Mode.  I ran Spyware, Malware and all the options 'repair your computer' I could find.  Nothing did.  I came on this forum once and the person who helped me finally said the only thing that remains for me to do was to do a full system restore.  He said there was nothing more he could think of to help me.  He didn't tell me how.

  I'm not crazy to do recovery, because I don't know that I will have things then it will fix it, as my Internet service and who knows what else.  But not having not much money right now, I don't want to take my computer somewhere to be fixed if I have to.  Could you please help me to do a full system recovery?  First of all, how can I save my photos and my files, I don't want to lose?  And how do I know what I need to save?  I have a USB flash Memory Stick that I plugged into my computer.  He downloaded the software but I have no idea how to do to get my files to transfer to it.

  And what if I have a virus?  Would I transfer to the portable storage device and then reintroduce the virus to my computer when I transfer this back?  I ran spyware & malware and nothing shows up, but clearly SOMETHING is wrong.  I have a disc of reinstalling that came with my computer but I shouldn't need to use this, should I?  Someone has the patience to give me DETAILED instructions on how to make the recovery, including how to do a back up?  I would love you forever.

  To backup your data: files, photos, music, etc:

  1. plug the flash drive
  2. go in where your files are stored
  3. click right on what you want to record, example: a photo album > Send to > click on the USB Flash Drive(it might be Drive E: or F:)> it will save to it)
  4. Repeat until you have backed up all your data.

  When it comes time to reinstall the data, connect the Flash drive, AFTER that you have an anti-virus and Anti-Malware installed, right click on the flash drive? It Scan before copying the files on your computer.

  Of course you can do it, but why 80%? Simplify your life, put all your photos on the disc exxternal.

  To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. with the help of your operating system, COPY (and not MOVE) pictures on the external drive, keeping the hierarchy of folders of the same

  2. in Lightroom use the updated folder location command to tell the program to use the files on the external hard drive. Complete instructions and screen shots are given in part 2 of this document: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  3. once it is successful, use your operating system to delete files on the internal hard disk

  I had problems with a book I put together for a customer. The printer using the he asks 3mm mixture on each side and each page. I'm assuming that they referred away between facing pages for the link, but also a 3 mm overhang around the pages. The only problem is that whenever I try to add a bleed that I can't have the gap between the facing pages. Just a border of 3mm or bleeding around each Board and NOT in the middle. Please help because I'm frustrated. Haha. I tried adding 1.5 mm to the page size to force a gap, but it doesn't seem to work.

  No, it was NEVERa gap between pages face to face. The purge (do not mix) will have equipment of the oposte pages. It is allowed in most cases. The exceptions are only with wire-O-bindings. In this case use the spead option to keep a draw right on the left of a spread page to make a distinct difference for each page. But it should be a facing pages document. And never, never, never do any gallon between pages face to face. It isn't deadly.

Some can tell me please how to change this so that when the player has found songs in the "my_mp3s" folder it creates a named xml playlist

• Album art from Windows Media Player do not transfer to my device

  I have a MyTouch 4 G and I wanted to sync with my Windows Media Player library (I'm using Windows Vista). Then I added all my albums and their added work in my library. Once the synchronization is complete, I unplugged my phone. All the songs were there, but the work was not. D: but the names of the artists and albums are there. What I am doing wrong?

  Try these steps and check if the problem persists,

  1. click on "Start" then "all programs", then "Windows Media Player."

  2. right click on the album you want to add a picture to, and then click "find album info". Wait a few minutes while Windows Media Player connects to the Internet and download album art for your songs.

  3. connect your myTouch to your computer with the USB cord. The next time that you sync music, the album art will be transferred as well

  I know this is an old thread, but I found the solution to this problem of album art (I'm sure).  I just bought one of these recently for about $35.  Here are the steps to get your Sandisk Sansa Connect 4 GB works like a champ:

  1. download and run the application of "recovery of the device.

  2. Once your device has been recovered, you can download and run the program Media Monkey to use to transfer music and update the identification labels.

  3. here's what seems to be the best, so that connecting Sansa to correctly grasp the album art, the Sansa Connect is entered into at least a minimum number of fields.  YOU MUST ENTER:

  a. a title

  b. an artist

  c. an album

  d. a date

  e. a kind.

  Once you have at least these five fields with information, you can drag and drop a. JPG file in the album art for the song.  Make sure that the song is not already on the device (if it is, delete it), and then right-click of the song in Media Monkey and select ' send to - Sansa Connect.  That would transfer the song WITH album art.
