I need Flash Player for Firefox, but it won't let me.

I need Flash Player for Firefox, but I already downloaded it before so it gives me the message "more than one instance" if I try to download it. It does not appear in my modules and I tried Shockwave, but when I hit the download button it tells me I need a new version and redirects me to the page that I'm already on (download page). I don't really know what to do at this point.

Try the offline installation program

  • Flash Player for Firefox on Win 8 / 64-bit

I'm trying to install Flash Player for Firefox on Windows 8, 64-bit system, but have no end of grief.

I finally get the problem initially, and it happens because when I enter the info on the download page, it instead serves the Setup program for the 32-bit version.

In fact, it checks on the page that I request and download the 64-bit version, but what I get and then install is 32-bit.  And, therefore, I can't get Flash Player to work in Firefox.

Is there any way at all I can access the true 64-bit Flash Player for Firefox / Windows 8?

There is no installation of 32-bit and 64-bit; on a 64-bit system, the Setup program will automatically install 32-bit and 64-bit players.

  • Cannot install Flash Player for Firefox

I am running Windows XP it with SP4.  IE and the latest version of Firefox are installed.

In IE and Firefox, trying to install Flash Player with the standard binding, I get an error message in a small window opens, the title "getPlus + (R): error," text 'Cannot load a GUI,' box 'OK '.  I got this by locating a stand-alone installation for IE, who uploaded a file to install it on my computer.  However, this does not work in Firefox, even when access to this link from Firefox.  The file runs, but Flash Player still shows as not installed in Firefox.

I can't find any program separate stand-alone installers for Flash Player for Firefox.

This error seems to be generated by the Adobe getPlus product installer.  My thought was to uninstall the Adobe installer and try again.  However, the Adobe installer appears in the list of installed programs, accessible via the Control Panel, BUT by clicking on the button to uninstall the program does nothing.  The program is still present.  I can't find a location for the installer from Adobe on my hard drive.

Hi Chris, I'm very well know the DLM/getPlus/getPlusPlus/NOS. :-) I see that you are too much now :-) Most users have no problem removing DLM to Add/Remove/programs and features through Control Panel.

There are a number of things to check. Using IE, go to tools > Internet Options. Click settings, and then view the objects. There that anything appearing on the above?

When you tried to delete the DLM, were using the administrator account?

Now, using the start SEARCH, enter in the "part of the name of" gp.ocx and note where it is and right click and delete it. Then, run a SEARCH on gp.inf and do the same thing.

Did you uninstall Flash Player using the Adobe uninstaller program then try again to install FP in FF?

I have some info Add ' l on the DLM, etc and will try to get it.

    Thank you

  • How the updated Flash Player for Firefox without launching Firefox?

I had a problem with Firefox freeze when I try to do anything other than simple navigation for at least two years. Updates help or disable all add-ons, or relocation, etc. Nobody can figure out how to solve this problem, so I use it as-is. I want to update the Adobe Flash Player plug-in but Firefox crashes whenever I try. Is it possible to update the Flash Player in Firefox with Firefox actually running?

    Thank you

  • Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash Player for Firefox

These two above ins card are offered by Firefox. However, I made several attempts to download and install these plug-ins, without success.

Each time, the browser goes on the Adobe site. It says to access the instructions so installation of these plug-ins for Firefox. I'm going to the instructions and they claim that these plug-ins do not work with Firefox.

My questions, if Firefox offers these plug-ins, why can't I install them.

Please make sure you use the latest version of Firefox by going to the Help menu and selecting "in regard to Mozilla Firefox". The current version is 3.6.3 (to date), if you are using an older version, please download the latest version from the Firefox Web site. If you are using 3.6.3, try to visit Adobe for Adobe Reader download pages and Adobe Flash directly, note that you will probably agree to install Adobe (Adobe DLM) Download Manager and agree to several security prompts in the bar at the top of the page before the plugins to install. Here are direct links to the download pages:

(I recommend UNchecking the box so as not to download the McAfee Security Scan, but it's up to you)

All of a sudden without vids will play... I watch that version is not safe and I need to update... All update options for Windows 7, 8 and others, but no option for Flash for the XP system... Seems "allowing", I can get around...

    Two updated versions are currently:

    • 18.0.0.194
    • 13.0.0.296

If you cannot install 18.x, then you would need to use the Adobe uninstaller program to remove 17.x. otherwise, Setup for 13.x will always tell you the superior version already.

It has a link to uninstaller in our article of support here: Flash Plugin - keep up-to-date and solve problems.

  • I want files my favorites because I had to update my laptop and had to re - install Firefox, but it won't let me. It just does not appear. What should I do?

I'm going to my favorites, then import and backup, and then restore but the only date I can not restore from it only today (06/07/13). So I try "select a file", but it does not show them. And I saw him when I go to my files. There are 10 restore points. .... I don't know what to do. I wish that my favorites return. Don't save my favorites. But I guess that was the case automatically. The last one was in April.

If please immediately save your profile and put it in a safe place outside the railways Firefox and profile (your office will be good).

To ensure that you keep all of the information you have.

It seems that you have not already done anything to backup bookmarks yourself. I think backups manual or synchronization to a second device.

Do not blindly favorite restores backup like that replaces all existing files with the files of speculative / no value. Before you try to restore a bookmarks file always do a manual backup of the current, or you can just make the situation worse. Windows restore points may not always be effective and if they are it is a sledgehammer and nut approach.

It is possible for previous versions of the file places.sqlite can help. It is a database file in your profile that contains bookmarks.

The profile also contains a folder of some automatically created bookmark backups. I have already asked above that you backup the whole of this.

I don't know what exactly you were doing that caused the loss of the bookmarks. If you reformat a hard drive which destroys everything. If you reinstall Firefox and any option to remove personal information again favorite will be lost.

the text box in the Muse leaves me no xhange the wording of the menu option

The text in the menus can only be changed directly if you have the type of menu set to manual, otherwise you will need to change the names of the pages themselves in the view plane.

  • Why I can't install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox 18.0.0.232?

I tried and tried to get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox, but it won't take. Tried through update on the plugin page, tried through the Adobe Web site and still no luck. I listed 18.0.0.232 version on my desktop, but it does not appear on Firefox. Anyone has an idea why not?

You can download the 18.0.0.232 version here.

    Desinstaller.209 and then installer.232.

BTW, Firefox needs a different version of Flash that IE uses and different from the one that use Chrome.

    Hi labradorg13,

No, it isn't an installer for all types of browser.

Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Windows 8.x and distributes updates via Windows Update.  If you have Windows configured to download and automatically install the updates you need not do anything.  Otherwise, run Windows Update to install the latest version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer.

Google has also incorporates Flash Player in Chrome and distributes the updates.  If you have configured to automatically update of Chrome you need not do anything.  Otherwise, look for an update of Chrome to ensure you have the latest version.

Since you also use Firefox, the only installer you need to manually run the Flash Player for Firefox installer.
