• Need help to open pdf files

  I have a cd that I had for several years, and was able to use until last year.  Suddenly, Adobe Reader (I tried several versions, updates, patches, whatever!) said that each pdf to disk file is damaged.

  This is a CD that has been able to start up on its own and had varied menus to join the final pdf pages.  I can't open the files through windows Explorer or through the menus.  Each time, the error message tells me the or files has been damaged because it was sent by e-mail or any other method that caused the damaged files.  The problem with this is that files and cd have never altered, as the cd is not rewritable.  It is also not hacked, if someone is going to ask this question.

  The cd is a manual for my vehicle.  It has a parts manual and a workshop with other elements manual.  When the cd is put in the drive, it will automatically start, but failed to get a single file opened.  I tried this in two different systems, and I get the same results.  The strange thing is that I have files created in earlier versions of the player who still work.  So why not this one, and why not someone from Adobe available to help me straighten it?  Shame on them!

Did an analysis that is not able to open files created with the previous version of the Adobe Reader 9.0. Also tried opening the same PDF files in the laptop computers of my colleagues and my PC at home. Without success.

  1. Right-click on the file you want to open
  2. Click 'open with '.
  3. Click "Choose default program"

  One of the options I can think of is creating mount points on the boxes of unix and then using the File adapter.

  I've added music files to my films on windows, Director of music from cd that I ripped to my Windows Media Player, never had any problems.

  Today, I bought several songs from Amazon mp3 in order to add to my Windows Movie maker, and they will not import the Windows Movie Maker program.  They play on my Windows Media Player, however, will not import Windows Movie Maker.  The files say they are mp3 files and Windows Movie Maker says he takes these files, however, I get aRED X and the message 'could not be imported'.  Help!  What can I do to get these files to import to my movie on Windows Movie Maker.

  I work at a University, and we are working through files for our theses and Dissertations. We were renamed to make them more coherent. I wonder if there is a regular expression that could help in this process?

  Examples come from current file names;

  • THESIS H343G 1981
  • Thesis of 1981 g996e
  • THESIS-1981-A543G

  I just need to change the actual file names. how they are formatted.

  Where appropriate on the thesis.

  Hyphens (-) in all white space.

  First letter, last letter is lower case on appeal no (H343g)

  If the list above should look like;

  • Thesis-1981-H343g
  • Thesis-1981-G996e
  • Thesis-1981-A543g

  You would be better to use a script to do this as an example because I don't think it would be possible in the new name of bridge.

  This must be recorded in the appropriate folder. It is located by going to preferences in Bridge, select Startup Scripts, this will open the folder where the script should be saved.

  Once this is done close and restart Bridge.

  Here ya go Linda.  This has proved to be a little more work than I anticipated, but not too bad.  This is because I thought I was just able to enter and change what you had, but I didn't understand how you did, or really know anything on the as2, so I just redid it.  Images are resized and I think it does what you want.  Take a peek.  Everything is controlled by AS3, there is nothing on the stage of the timeline.

  Sorry, no, I'm not an Adobe employee, (there is really not much here) I am just a user of software like you.

  Look at your site settings...

  1. go to Site > Manage Sites, and then click the site that you are trying to work with

  2. click on edit

  3. under servers, click the remote server

  4. click on change

  5. under Basic, you must have your FTP address (usually yoursitename.com for GoDaddy, it can sometimes be an IP address with other hosting companies), your username and password, then the root directory

  6. under the root directory, make sure that you have one of the two /public_html/ or httpdocs / (call GoDaddy to check the type of server that you are using so that you get the right root)

  7. test the connection

  8. If it works, when you connect using the window files expanded (with the server on the files and from left to right) you should see a list of files, including your index.html, some GD files formmailer.php and missing.html page and all the rest of your current site files.

  9. If you see this list, click on Get and DW should prompt you with "Get entire site?

  10. click on Yes and the entire site will be downloaded to your machine. From there, open the file locally, edit and download
