I need my monitor to stay on.

I have a model 780 monitor connected to a COMPAQ Presario S4200NX PC MAG.  My monitor used to stay all the time until I turned it off.  Now, windows seems to be control everything and when I restart my computer my monitor is in sleep mode as soon as windows shuts.  The power button keeps blinking and I can't turn off manually.  As a result, the (Visual) monitor does not have up to five minutes.  My sound is through my screen and the sound works well, even when the screen is black.  Help?
I have updated the video drivers; reinstalled the monitor; updated graphics drivers and nothing makes a little difference.

Hello Sumbeach,

Thank you for your message.  You have changed something in the power settings?  If not, let us make sure that your settings are correct.
Right-click on the desktop > select "Properties".
Select the "Screen Saver" tab > select "Power Options".
You can make changes to your liking here.  Try to make the change to "Never turn off your monitor" and we'll see if this corrects the problem.
We can't wait to hear back on your part.
See you soon

    You must contact Customer Service from Dell for your country. Provide the information that you used when purchasing the Dell = monitor

    Name and first name

    They can then use these data to find your Dell order number and the customer and provide a copy of the original invoice.

    Hello

    Usually the easiest way to return of any change to the system is to use the Windows system restore
    Let's go to:
    + All programs - > Accessories-> System-> system restore tools +.

    Here, you would be able to restore unity to this early time.

  • CS6: Windows 7: driver needed to monitor Philips 200 WP7

    A friend and I spent an hour this afternoon trying to get a updated driver for my monitor - Philips 200 WP7.   My current driver is 1.0.0.0.     I recently got CS6, and he says that ideally I should update my driver.   Philips does unfortunately not provide a driver for my monitor with Windows 7, only with older versions of Windows.      Everyone here has updated this driver for Windows 7, and can they recommend anywhere where we can get our hands on an update?

    Help would be very appreciated.

    You must monitor the drivers, the operating system it is running in native mode (plug ' play).

  • Increase in size of database extremely - need to monitor the size of the table

    Hi all

    I need help in the growth of the follow-up tables. It's that the database grows enormously from 192 G at 200 over five days, representing 5% increase in database size. The general scenario is that is that the db is growing 20% annually, but this increase in a week will cause future hardware problems.

    Please advice to find the tables that is still growing.

    Thank you
    DBA Junr.

    Hi Georges s/n, do not know if this will help you now, but I did something like this on a daily basis for about 3 years. Literally, I have the size of each segment on a daily basis for this time and can go back in the graphic history of growth. If I had the question you ask the subject that I would be able to tell you exactly what segments are developed. If you need this on a smaller time frame, you can change the data stored in the column "created_date' to all the hours I guess.

    Anyway, here's the create statement.

    create table db_segment_history
    (
      db_segment_history_id     integer not null,
      owner                 varchar2(30),
      segment_name          varchar2(81),
      partition_name        varchar2(30),
      segment_type          varchar2(18),
      created_date date default trunc(sysdate) not null,
      tablespace_name       varchar2(30),
      header_file           number,
      header_block          number,
      bytes                 number,
      blocks                number,
      block_size            number,
      extents               number,
      initial_extent        number,
      next_extent           number,
      min_extents           number,
      max_extents           number,
      pct_increase          number,
      freelists             number,
      freelist_groups       number,
      relative_fno          number,
      buffer_pool           varchar2(7)
    );

    create sequence db_segment_history_seq cache 1000;

    create unique index xpkdb_segment_history on db_segment_history( db_segment_history_id );

    alter table db_segment_history add ( constraint xpkdb_segment_history primary key ( db_segment_history_id )
    using index );

    create unique index ak1db_segment_history on db_segment_history(
         owner, segment_name, partition_name, segment_type, created_date );

    create trigger db_segment_history_bir
    before insert on db_segment_history
    for each row
    begin
         select     db_segment_history_seq.nextval
         into     :new.db_segment_history_id
         from     dual;
    end;
    /

    This is the insert / select that I use.

    insert into db_segment_history(
         owner, segment_name, created_date,
         partition_name, segment_type, tablespace_name,
         header_file, header_block, bytes,
         blocks, block_size, extents,
         initial_extent, next_extent, min_extents,
         max_extents, pct_increase, freelists,
         freelist_groups, relative_fno, buffer_pool )
    select owner, segment_name, trunc( sysdate ),
         partition_name, segment_type, tablespace_name,
         header_file, header_block, bytes,
         blocks, bytes/blocks block_size, extents,
         initial_extent, next_extent, min_extents,
         max_extents, pct_increase, freelists,
         freelist_groups, relative_fno, buffer_pool
    from    dba_segments
    where   tablespace_name in(
              select tablespace_name from dba_tablespaces where contents = 'PERMANENT' );

    commit;

    I hope this helps.

    You can find exactly what you are looking for in the event logs.  I just maxed out our 8510 by a participant, the same fall first one I added in the test that matched my allocation of port instead of going 1-sending video of my test results are below.

  • I need to plug my monitor up to my new computer before transferring files from the old computer

    yet to try to find out if I need to have my monitor connected to my new computer before I use the easy transfer cable to transfer my files from my old computer to the new

    Yes, you will need a monitor connected to your computer to use an easy transfer cable. I suggest to use two monitors, one on the old computer and the other on the new.

  • Display headaches! My external monitor is labeled as default, 1 and primary.

    Hi I am using Windows Vista Home Edition. I use an external CRT monitor with my laptop for several months without problems. To connect the monitor external, all I do is check the button "to extend to this monitor" and then 'apply '. I can then move windows external monitor and watch movies.
    However, since yesterday my laptop does not display images. I put on the external monitor and noticed that my desktop, icons, etc. were all on the external monitor. Even worse I have when I go to display settings, I see that the external monitor is labeled "default monitor." On the Nvidia Control Panel, it is presented as 'primary monitor' and has the number 1. When I try to set my laptop as primary on the Nvidia Control Panel it displays a dialog box won't let me change.
    To my surprise, I now have to check the button "to extend to this monitor" to see the images on my laptop, which is an empty office with a blurred image and color. I also have to move the mouse to the left of the CRT monitor to my laptop screen, the complete opposite. When I click on "identification of instructors" it shows my 1 CRT and my laptop 2!
    It's crazy! I need my laptop to stay on the screen by default, number 1 and primary. But it now appears that the CRT has taken over as my main screen.
    When I power off, unplug the CRT and powered, the display reverts to my laptop. But as soon as I connect the CRT to my laptop, my laptop screen turns off and the CRT takes over.
    I would really appreciate a help of a guru of computing or a person who has had a similar problem but has overcome.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi, Matter333,

  • Windows 7 pro 64. The desktop icons won't stay where I put them. After a reboot, the desktop icons are always rearranged.

    I've set up my office while I have the following icons down the left side of the top in the following order: computer, network, System (C), (D) options, reader of DVD (E), trash.

    Whenever I restart my computer, the icons are rearranged as: computer, network, trash, reader of DVD (E), options (D), System (C).

    I don't want to add all the new icons on the desktop, because I know they won't stay where I put them. When I was using XP it would happen only when I changed resolution but with Win 7, it happens every time that I reboot.

    Reorganization of auto desk is off, snap to grid is turned off, sort by has verified. I use two monitors. All the gadgets that I have in my hand right 2ndary monitor are stay in place very well. The icons gives me the problem are on the left side of the left main screen.

    I made an image of my hard drive just after the installation of windows 7 and before to install the drivers of manufacturers and updates of windows.

    Today, I restored this image, reinstalled the drivers from manufacturers and made the updates of windows. The problem seems to have disappeared now.

    I am re-imaging my hard drive after you install the complete driver/updating. I hope I don't need to use it, but I will if I have to. I still don't know what caused it in the first place, but at least now I have an option of fast food if it happens again. I'll recreate the image on the hard drive after all major software install from that time, I have two images. A fundamental right after pilot installations and one after each installation of software.
