  • I reinstalled Vista on a new hard drive and after installing the drivers Bluetooth, the icon will not be displayed in the control panel

A few weeks ago my drive hard out crapped on me and I bought a new one. I installed Vista on it and thought that I installed all the drivers. Yesterday, I had to use my bluetooth and noticed that it has not been installed. After knowing that I need a patch for it, I was able to connect my phone to my computer. But now the icon is not in the control panel so that I could easily adjust settings or view paired devices. I can only adjust the settings of the icon in the bottom left of the taskbar. Whenever I try to view paired devices I get the icon of waiting and then nothing happens.

Ø what service pack is installed on your computer?

If you don't have SP2 on your computer, you may not be able to see the icon in the control panel. Try to install SP2 on your computer and check the status.

    OR

You can uninstall the device blue tooth from the Device Manager and restart the computer that will install the generic drivers, then check if the icon is listed in Control Panel.

Do you have other accounts of users on this PC?  If you install this update from the main account?

You should get the number of the update of the updated history list and then download the file here: Microsoft downloads.
If sure that nothing else is running, and then install the update manually.  Give it a try and let us know the results.

I have Dell Dimension 8100 with Windows XP Home Edition that has Visual Studio 2005 Express installed that has SQL Server 2005 with her. I had a problem with Windows Update and will prompt to install SQL Server 2005 SP3 KB970892 since October 14,2009. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything first and always kept getting the prompt, then I tried another solution that I got from a forum of symantec. I uninstalled the update again, and then I went into the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Resume REG_DWORD and changed the value decimal from 1 to 0, installed the update and restarted the machine. It worked for the person who posted, but this has not worked for me. I waited a while hoping that Microsoft will come out with a fix for the next monthly update that has not yet happened. If anyone has a solution, please send an email to . • "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close"error after installing the update of security KB2707511

After you install the update of security KB2707511 when I try to open a ms - dos 16-bit program, I get the following error: "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. " Application does not start. I can run without error command.com. Uninstall KB2707511 in Control Panel, add & delete, the application works. Install KB2707511 error occurs.

I have a lot of customers running a 16-bit MS-DOS - program that receives the same error.  It seems not to be a malware problem, as it is homogeneous across many machines (unless, of course, all have the same problem of malware).  By uninstalling the KB2707511 and the KB2709162 they all work. Something in these updates is in conflict with something in these dos programs causing the "NTVDM. Erorr EXE'.

  • Users cannot install the update of my application and impossible to reinstall the application.

I have an App World app, the first time, it's a free app (ver: 0.9), but later I changed it for a paid app. recently, I published a new version of this app (ver: 1.0) and free package upgrade.

But users who have installed my app when it's free cannot install the update!

I Can't download the update. I keep getting the following error "There was a problem installing...please try again." I've retried many times and reset my device but nothing works.

software shows an update to Version 1.0 from .9 however,
the update errors out and fails to download.

They tried to delete the app first, but they can not reinstall it, even if they want to buy, but App World allow them to do!

I tried uninstalling it and now I can't reinstall it. ???

I can not even reinstall from appworld.
    Let alone purchase.

but i try to paid for it and when i go to do it, it dont allow me

It is really strange, what do I do?

I feel your pain, but you can't do much. This is a known issue with AppWorld during the passage of the free paid, thats why this option is no longer available for providers.

The only way to mitigate the damage, push a paid upgrade, say version 1.1. Make sure that the upgrade price paid matches the original price of app, otherwise it would be confusing to users.

    Advantages of such an approach:

-Users who want to pay will be able to download the upgrade, you get the money

    Disadvantages:

-You will get a lot of negative comments from users who have as free version

-Those who have already purchased as paid app will have to pay to upgrade too

  • How to prevent the updates for Office Standard 2007

I'm running on windows xp. I use office 2007 standard. After a computer breakdown recent when I reinstalled office 2007 standard I am able to update 2003 documents. However, after sending updates by microsoft I can't open word 2003 documents. It says I need a converter. When I go to the microsoft site and download as advised that it downloads but still do not allow me to open the 2003 docs. I just want to be able to disable updates for office 2007 standard. that will solve my problem. can someone tell me how to proceed?

    Thank you

    Hi Mary,

I suggest you to check the number of KB updates to isolate the problem.

To see the updates are installed on the computer, follow these steps:

    a. click Start, click all programsand then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    b. click view update history. A window opens that displays all the updates that are installed and those who have not installed properly on the computer.

You can perform the System Restore before you install the Windows updates and check.

Important: System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.

You can Configure Windows to install only specific updates.  Check out the link for more information.

  • I tried several times to install the update KB952069, but it keeps reappearing?

    Hi guys,.

Basically, I had to reinstall my Windows XP Pro a few days ago and had to submit again to this annoying to have procedure to download all updates at the same time. He was fine until the above mentioned KB952069 kept appearing.

I checked my logs and he says still its been installed successfully. I checked the log with the Start->Run->%Windir%\KB952069.log and its here! I tried the Auto-Fix Microsoft for Windows Update - did not work. I tried to download and install the update in normal mode and safe - did not work. I must have installed a 100 times now and he still wants to Microsoft Update. And when I tried to install it manually it actually do nothing... just happened to check... (whatever) for finishing. I guess it's because its already there and he does not need to be installed again.

I checked my PC with most of the security and the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, and they find nothing wrong. For some reason any, that he won't let me install Windows Defender, however, it is said that Microsoft Client Protection is already there and it won't let me. Any suggestions?

    Hello

Have you tried using this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058?

  • Used to install the update to Windows 7 KB3177467

    Separated from this thread.

    Hello

For some reason, this just will not update with my computer. I tried to update for a week, but it keeps failing.

I have Norton Security Suite, is there something that I need to cut? In addition, I had Firefox as my main browser but it kept crashing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it will not reinstall either.

I had Chrome as a substitute, but the same problems with Firefox begins to appear here as well.

I tried to go in run and follow the instructions on stopping the automatic updates and the renaming %windir%, but could not find the file automatic updates.

The csm entered and checked the computer, ran five times all healthcheck works very well.

Any suggestions on what to check next?

    Thank you

    Hello
