Two points:

1. it is unlikely that your current installation would work if
you have changed motherboards. You need to reinstall itself.

2 but you cannot use your current copy of Windows if you change
motherboards, not even if reinstall you it cleanly. The largest
disadvantage of an OEM version, is that its license it binds permanently
the first computer, it is installed on and Microsoft believes that
If you change the motherboards, another computer. It can never
legally be moved to another computer, sold or transferred (except with)
the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your
license dies with him.

You can not. An OEM copy is forever linked to the first computer on which it is installed.

  • Why can't I just move on with windows7 starter to windows 8, my computer is only 9 months since purchest?

Why can't I just move on with windows7 starter to windows 8, my computer is only 9 months since purchest?

So it will not uninstall then install my programs, or what, then another question is the offer for $14.99, that's what I was watching and I filled a free upgrade and probably has not been fully tested for this upgrade, he said I would be able to get the upgrade, but there is no decrease in my emails guess still in work. While {s it improves just $ 40 million that I should wait for a version pro or ultimate?

And what will happen to my saved files?

and I'll be able to restore to the factory with warranty setting and I can use my series to my computer for the upgrade?

NOW please if you don't know it please tell me I would like to know some facts and since there is so much development, in my view, the pro version is yet to come, so...

Windows 7 Starter is not eligible for the offer of $14.99.  Only Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate. If you must upgrade to Windows 8, then you have to wait on the upgrade $ 39.99 for Windows 8 Pro that will become available October 26, 2012.

The upgrade will allow you to keep your applications, personal files and settings.

Yes, it should be able to restore the factory State, but always backup before making changes on your computer like installing an operating system:

  • Had to replace the motherboard with an ASUS P5Q Turbo luxury and now Windows 7 hangs on the Windows installation.

I am so frustrated now that I'm ready to give up window 7.

I had to replace my abit IX38 QuadGT inserted in my PC due to problems of firmware cannot be resolved (abit now being out of the business of the motherboard).  In any case, I bought a new ASUS P5Q Pro TURBO (which is SUPPOSED to be ready out of the box for Windows 7) and TRIED to reinstall my Windows 7 64-bit professional installation.

To add bad things to me I had to replace my hard drive with a new WD 640 MB Caviar Black.  I had the feeling to my 500 GB Seagate Barracuda as a primary drive, hoping that Windows 7 Pro would see that, Yes, I had a previous installation of Windows 7, and it would allow me to install again.

    No luck.

My system starts ok DVD of Windows 7, then the files installation done and then goes to the windows 7 screen installation and CRASHES completely.

What ____! I have updated the BIOS to try to solve the problem, but of course, no go.

Can someone tell me what to do _ because I'm NOT a novice by any means and I literally spent hours of my time trying to make a simple re-install.

I am angry that this is not simpler than it is.  MS why can't this right. Good grief!

Finally solved... by ditching the ASUS Board. It's a piece of SH$ (%!  Put in a Gigabyte UD3LR card. The RAM has acknowledged and assign it is 1066 speed immediately. Still using the Commission. A sweet piece of kit.

ASUS Aspire now in my opinion. I'll never buy a Board again and encourage others to avoid completely. How the once powerful ASUS fell.

  • Problem with the reinstallation of Windows XP Pro

A few days ago my Windows XP Pro showed an error at startup, which has declared "activation failed". I have been using the computer for several years. I installed my XP disk to recover the system. After several hours (overnight), he continued to show "Please wait".

I decided to reinstall windows, it showed that I loose all my data, so I copied them to another drive, and then run to install windows in a different directory (C:\Windows2). I also used a newspaper different name in order to keep my files intact.

Then, I decided to install windows on "C:\windows" with another in log.

I now have a selection of dual-boot. One for windows and one for windows2 (show 'Windows XP Pro').

My question is how I can remove the dual boot. I also need to eliminate some of the user data files.

Then use msconfig to remove the entry from the start for windows2 installation menu and then delete the folder for windows2

  • Can I install Windows 8 Pro 64 bits with a 32-bit Windows 8 Pro license key?

I searched through the forum, it seems that there is no difference between 64-bit and 32-bit licenses. However, as I know suggested for 64-bit and 32-bit retail price are different. I get confused! If they are the same, then eveyone would buy a 32-bit and then install 64-bit... is it true? Your response is truly appreciated.

Yes, the product key works independently of the architecture (32- or 64-bit), so you can use the same product key used to activate 32-bit Windows 8 Pro with 64-bit Windows 8 Pro.

No, if your plan is to use the license with that your PC has been delivered.

It is not legal to do this. You will need to buy another operating system under license for your new motherboard, or use an operating system open source...

  • CS5.1 replaced my CS5 with problems

I wrote this a few minutes ago but th forum shows only a blank sheet

Following the advice of a knowledgeable person, I have attempte to consolidate my many actions in a single master folder and to use aliases in the appropriate oc records CS5 and CS 6, to avoid clutter.

After finishing, WHATEVER is only I CAN FACT, I tried to restart CS5. They showed me a message that it was missing some important files and I need to reinstall CS5. I then uninstalled CS5.

I could find only a .dmg for CS5.1 file. It was already on my hard drive. I ran that Installer and now I have Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5.1 records, as well as the bridge proper, Manager, prefs, folders, etc.

Now both of these applications look good but there is a problem with the prefs. Also, I do not know which of these to be deleted, that associated files. I guess that everything which are labeled with CS5 or CS5.1.

advice to the exception "very ashamed"?

    Thank you

    Vince

Actually, you mostly right, but I think that what you really want to do is to record your actions created, and actions left 3rd that you have obtained elsewhere, as files in a secure central location .atn separate areas of installation of Photoshop.  You can use subfolders to organize things, and this should be a place that save you as your important documents, while you are protected against losses.

Without doing something special in what configuration aliases, in Photoshop, just use the icon of the small dropdown at the top right of the Photoshop Actions panel and choose Load Actions and choose a .atn file.

Each .atn file that you upload will appear at the bottom of the Actions Panel, and you can drag it to somewhere different in Control Panel if you wish.

To save a set of actions, click once on a defined action name to highlight, so that even little fly-out icon choose Save the stock.  The entity in the form of file .atn in this safe place on your backup disk, you created for storage of stocks.

  • With the help of Windows 8 Pro Upgrade on my USB bootable on a clean system I need operating system called?

(Looking forward to Friday).  I performed the upgrade of the W8 Assisitant, identified a qualified operating system, paid my $40 and downloaded the image bootable USB.

I don't then take the USB to a blank PC, boot on USB and begin the installation, enter the new key etc.  Will this work?  Or tell the installation "ERROR: the partition you are installing on does not contain a qaulifiying OS.

In order to install Windows 8 Pro upgrade, you must first reinstall your original version of Windows that has been run on your computer before installing the Windows 8 Preview version. If it's (Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7). After installing it, you can then do a upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. The output preview Windows 8 does not support upgrades to Windows 8 Pro. Windows 8 Pro will be available October 26, 2012.

If you want to install Windows 8 Pro on a blank hard drive, you must buy the full version:

  • I've just upgraded my pc to windows 7. I tried to install my copy of vista on another pc, but I'm told that the validation key is not good. Do I need a new key?

need a new key for installation to install my old copy of vista on a new computer. I upgraded windows 7 which was the copy of vista on the pc

And if your copy of Vista was preinstalled on your old computer, it is classified as an OEM license is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop.

You can transfer a license of Vista to retail, not an OEM license.
