I need to upgrade my xp home to xp pro.

I need to run a file transfer program, but the two computers must be running the same operating system.

Hi Mikenyc342,

Thanks for posting. I'm not sure what you're asking to your message. If you are having problems with a file transfer program, then you may want the manufacturer of this program for support. If you try to update from XP Home to XP Pro, you will need to purchase full media or upgrade from a supplier who currently still the sales. If I'm wrong on the understanding of your question please post back with more information so that we can better help you.

I hope this helps!

  • Need drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite Pro A100

Well, the subject pretty much says it all, I need to get drivers for my "Satellite Pro A100 psaape" meaning I'll install windows XP instead of vista. Only problem is that I can't find the drivers. I looked on the Toshiba site but my partnumber (psaape) does not exist, a similar number only. So how to find the right drivers?

    Thank you

  • Upgrade Windows 7 Home/Windows 10 Pro Dual boot computer CPU

I plan on upgrading my CPU to a core of an I5 Quad model, dual Pentium G630. The card mother won't be replaced as it can accommodate a socket LGA-1155. I can also be tempted to replace my current system with a 250 GB SSD drive. It is a dual-boot computer that used to have two installations of Windows 7: it was OEM that came pre-installed, when the computer was purchased, and the other was a retail version. The OEM version updated to win Pro 8, then Win 8.1.1 and finally Windows 10 Pro.

I would wait for activation or problems that this will be a smooth operation?

If so, what might be the complications?

    Thanks for the tips

  • Need drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite Pro L40

I installed XP on my L40, but there seems to be no XP driver for the sound card. Anyone know of another pilot that could be compatible?

    Hello

To my knowledge of Satellite Pro L40 supports sound on board.
After a lengthy investigation, it seems that this series is supported by a chip high definition audio Intel HDA (Azalia) ADI AD1986A.

Generally, the Intel Corporation has released XP drivers also on the own site and I think you should be able to download the XP compatible audio driver from the Intel page.

Check this box and look for the chip mentioned above.

    Good luck

  • I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3, 32-bit and IE8. Do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?

I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3, 32-bit and IE8.  Do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?

The upgrade to Windows 7 is a personal decision.  Chances are that if you can do what you need to do on Windows XP then it is 'useless' to upgrade.  If you plan the upgrade anyway, you should first check to see that your hardware is supported under Windows 7.  To do this, Microsoft has provided a program of "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor" to run on your current computer.

  • I have Windows Vista Home on my laptop and need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. How do you do that?

I have Windows Vista Home on my laptop and need to upgrade to Pro 7. How do you do that? Im not grumpy, so do the kind of dumb-means answer.
So can I do it? How can I do? Thank you!

original title: upgrade to Pro 7 since Vista Home?

You are referring to the Express upgrade. Anytime, upgrade is used to upgrade editions of Windows 7 to a higher edition of price. You cannot use the Express Upgrade updates from Vista to Windows 7.

  • I have a laptop Windows 7 Home Premium, I need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.

I have a laptop Windows 7 Home Premium, I need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I have the installation DVD for Win7 professional provided by Microsoft Partner Network. If I try Anytime Upgrade it note that I have the license key cannot be used for this purpose. What is the best way to upgrade the laptop?

I would prefer not to have to clean the laptop and do a fresh install.
The interesting thing is, although the upgrade process Express reported a problem when the laptop has rebooted he went through several configuration steps, and she is now a professional Machine of Windows 7.
I looks like that I don't have to take the measures described above.
    Thank you

  • After upgrading to version 9.0.1, I still get a message saying that I need to upgrade. Why?

When I open Firefox, the message on the screen says I need to upgrade. I have updated and restarted my computer, but the message is still there.

    Change your home page.

It - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Page to start Firefox used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox, I do not think that it is maintained by Google.

From version Firefox 4, Firefox uses a 'local' with the address Start Page of Subject: House. It looks like the old start Page, but this isn't exactly the same thing.

In recent years, I also use A300 and have very good experiences with this machine. To be honest, I was not satisfied with the original version of Vista.

    I did follow the steps:
    -I ve upgraded RAM
-I ve bought 265 GB SSDS
    - and last step was the installation of Windows 7.

Trust me, machine works like a rocket. Windows 7 is fully supported and all the drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Upgrade my OS Xp Home to Xp Pro

    Nice day!

One of my important applications do not work with my recent Windows Xp home edition operating system and I need to upgrade my operating system to Windows Xp professional. I knew that I can buy at a local retailer for Xp Pro, but what I want is Toshiba himself because of his support of the drivers, as in the content of their product recovery cd. I work with the PLC that runs only on Windows Xp Pro and now my laptop cannot be used for this purpose. I am trying to reach the support from Toshiba Web site but I don't know how to start informing them my needs. Thanks I surfed recently this community forum which, otherwise, might help me and would give me suggestions how to inform Toshiba. What site should I go Toshiba? Supported? Downloads? Maybe someone will help me how?

Greetings to all members of the forum!

    Hi Camilo

I see that you are a little confused and need some answers ;)
I want to clear up a misunderstanding.

    (1) you can only buy the Toshiba Recovery CD with the same operating system that came with your laptop.
In your case, it s a Win XP Home. If you want to use XP Pro, you must purchase an original Microsoft OS.

    (2) Toshiba provides XP drivers on the own Toshiba driver page, and you can install it on the new installed XP Pro OS.
You can find the drivers here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com->-> support-> support homepage & Downloads Download drivers

    (3) it seems that it of not possible to communicate directly with the Toshiba.
You can use online support or if you want to order parts or you have problems with your machine, you will need to ask ASP allowed in your country a help!
