  OK, I got some kind of virus this kind of thing where it was like a fake antivirus, fortunately I knew and got rid of him and everything seems to work fine except that whenever I try to watch something on netflix, I get this error.   When you try to install iTunes v 10 to my new computer running Windows 7 Home premium with the latest updates, I get this message.

  Steps, I took so far

  • run as administrator
  • run in Windows XP compatibility mode
  • Disabled windows firewall (managed by Norton 360)

  I tried all combinations of the above steps but get the same message every time.

  I also cannot install a Java update that requires downloading the program.

  I fixed the problem I had with this error msg. If someone else is having the same problems, I try to create a new user account and see if the download works on the new account because I tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked until I created a new account and now my problem is solved. I guess that somehow my user account has been corrupted, which I didn't expect not given my PC is only a month, but it was.
