I recently received an email from an expression of Tanya McDonald Microsoft/Yahoo decided to give me a grant.

It is a problem now, one day someone has to start somewhere now these responsible people. And if it is legitimate, I thank them.

Ignore any e-mail that's not someone you know.  Never click on a link in an email from a bank or another source, but rather go to these places via typing the address in the browser, like many links in the email is fake.  Never open a piece attached e-mail, but save it and then drive it with first antivirus software scan and only if you know the person who sent it to you.  Don't give any personal information (art, credit card #, passwords, etc.) in an e-mail or phone call.  No Microsoft will send you an email or call you.  In addition, in general, if it sounds too good to be true, it is, so don't fall for stuff like this.

If you were alone walking the streets at night and someone came up to you and was too friendly, you would be suspicious and on your toes?  Well, the email is the same thing.  Do not trust it.

When sending emails from my Outlook Express , the following occurs:

    (1) as usual, send the message falls into my Outbox and begins to be sent.

    (2) when the message was sent, I get a message that "some errors occurred while processing requested tasks" but no actual errors are displayed.

    (3) the sent items folder does not show that a message has been sent... but a message has been sent.

    (4) the original message remains in my Outbox and will be sent over and over again.

    Hello

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed on your computer? To work on this question, see these steps.

It seems that there is a corruption of dbx file.

I suggest you go over your messages out of the Inbox, and then create new folders Outbox and sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Reference:

    (a) click onTools

    (b) thenOptions

    (c) selectMaintenance

    (d) Record Store will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files.

    (e) Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste to start and select run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden.

To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders

    Reference:

    (a) clickStart

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) Folder Options icon

    (d) notice, or in Windows Explorer

    (e) Tools

    (f) the Folder Options

    ( viewof g).

With Outlook Express closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them. New ones will be created automatically when you open Outlook Express.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Reference:

    (a) clickOutlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open.

    (b) click onthe file

    (c) work offline (or double click working online in the status bar).

    (d) file

    (e) file

    (f) compact all folders. Wait for the compaction to complete.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend about a300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

    Compact often as specified above.

    Reference:

    (a) in the Tools

    (b) selectOptions

    (c) maintenance:

    (d) uncheck Compact messages in the background and leave it unchecked. (N/a if running XP/SP2).

    And backup often.

  • Can I combine email from Outlook Express?

Can I combine email from Outlook Express?  & How does it work?

To use the functionality of the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), in a new message window, click View | All headers and type the addresses separated by a; Or: Click the button to. You will see your list of contacts and the choice to put them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, and then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all of the contacts you want. (Note: most of the providers have limits as to how many messages you can send both a. 25 is common, but it varies).

Put your own address in the box to. That's the only name/address that any recipient will see. If you leave the field empty, some people may not receive e-mail because of message rules they put in place, or restrictions imposed by their ISP.

You can also make an entry in the address book using your e-mail address, but put something like the mailing list in the area of the display.

    *********************

You can also create groups if you send e-mail to the same people often.

To create a group of contacts:

You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

    1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.
    2. the Properties dialog box opens. In the group name box, type the name of the group.
    3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
    a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
    (b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
    (d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.
    4. Repeat for each addition until your group is defined.

    Note

    a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.

    b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address. (Some Internet service providers require a legitimate address in the line to and recipients will know it's from the Group).

Click on the button to. Enter the name of the group using your address. Enter the group in the BCC field.
  • I received an email from my address, but not send it.

I received an email from my email address, and the text was a phishing scam. I have not clicked on anything in the message. I ran my security software and found no problem. I'd do anything else? Thank you for your help.

It is not uncommon for messages of spam and phishing to have a fake sender name and address because if you're spamming, you will not use your real information. The idea behind using your name and address as the sender, it's that you're not likely to block you.

Of course, it is always prudent to consider whether someone might have actually gained access to your e-mail account, consider changing your password, but usually it's just a case of falsification of documents.

    Hello

Which is called Spoofing and its pretty easy for a spammer to make.
Of course it makes it look like you or the other person who sent the
Messaging. Someone intercepted a mail and it may not have been
You causing him. Account of a friend could have been consulted
or even someone could have sent an email on your part for
someone else who has been compromised. Your friend can access to the
headers and block the real senders, although these will be changed
    often.

  • I can't delete emails from outlook express

I can't delete emails from outlook express.  I press the button Delete and nothing happens.  Any suggestions?

Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for deleted items and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
