  Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution.
  You can adjust the resolution of your screen.
  To change it follow these steps:

  • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
  • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.

  • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

  If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

  If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .

  That may be a problem with the DDE.

  Try to undo and redo Firefox as default browser.
  
  Make a different browser like IE browser by default and then let Firefox do it again.

  See the attached screenshot. If you selected the option to remove my Aurora (nightly minefield, Firefox) the personal data and customizations you deleted all your profiles for each version you have / had installed. You can try to use a program for recovering files, like Recuva, to see what can be salvaged.

  The bookmarks to the file places.sqlite , or among the backup of bookmarks Favorites-aaaa-mm-jj.json files (10 are stored). Regarding your passwords, you need the file signons.sqlite and signons3.txt file.

  (2) the internet disconnected only when online games?

  (3) what game you're trying to read?

  (4) don't you encounter similar problems when downloading things other than games, like images, songs, etc.?

  I had to reinstall windows xp and 'rebuild' all that was a pain. now I have no sound, windows media player says I have no audio device, I look in Device Manager and there is a yellow! next to "audio device on high definition audio bus" and "sm bus controller".   Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I did a Google search on 'install' chip of Dell and found this site:

  This allowed me to identify the components and/or the 'missing' drivers and then download them. After a long installation everything works as before.
